To celebrate Star Wars Day–May the 4th–EA is giving PC users four hours of free play.
“You’ll be able to do anything the full version of the game can do, but not the DLC, and given you only have 240 minutes, you’ll be hard pressed to get much unlocked,” PC Games News reported.
It definitely will be a race against the clock for fans of Star Wars and Battlefront admirers who want to experience as much as possible in just four hours.
“You can start pre-loading on Origin to make the most of the window, and […] on May 4 you can fight your way through one of the better Star Wars games still available. […] For those who already own the game, logging in during this most honoured of days will net you 4,444 credits.”

Another perk of the day is that the gift in not limited only to the newest version of Star Wars Battlefront, but also includes past versions and other Star Wars games.
“Battlefront isn’t the only Star Wars game EA are using to celebrate a day named after the fictional appropriation of a traditional catholic faith service greeting, as The Old Republic and Galaxy of Heroes will also hold events,” PC Games also explained . “The Old Republic will be granting double xp and requisitions all week and you can play the Knight of the Fallen Empire DLC for free until May 30. Also, logging in any time between now and May 4 will grant you the M4-I6 Zakuulan Astromech Droid mini-pet. It’s like R2-D2 but not as sassy.”

There are some downsides, of course. After all, EA can’t give users everything they want.
“Obviously, this does not include any of the game’s premium content,” reported Polygon . “But as Battlefront has gotten substantial updates every month since its November launch, there’s a lot inside to mess around with.”
Battlefront has been receiving excellent reviews since the release last fall. The Inquisitr said that, with the Outer Rim DLC added in March, many helpful and intriguing changes had been made.
“The first paid DLC pack for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC shooter will take players to Jabba the Hutt’s palace in two of the four new maps while also adding a new game more plus a pair of new playable Heroes and more.”

IGN ‘s review of the new game said that it was ideal–that is the Star Wars game that we’ve all been waiting for .
“Star Wars Battlefront captures everything I love most about Star Wars. It’s playful and imaginative, driven by a sense of adventure and fun above all else. By embracing this, and improving on the classic original Battlefront, developer DICE has made almost exactly the Star Wars multiplayer shooter I’ve always wanted.”
Many people claim that the graphics are incredibly real and clear, which–compared to the original–is true progress. The first version of Battlefront is timeless, but the new version takes the world of Star Wars to a whole new level.
With characters like Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa and even Darth Vader himself, the game will be well worth four hours of your time. Just be aware: you may feel the need to purchase the game afterwards.
Happy gaming, and May the 4th be with you.
