Chris Brown: America’s Sweetheart To Public Enemy No.1 — How Rihanna Changed Everything, Plus His Relationship With Karrueche Tran

Chris Brown was who pretty much every boy in the country wanted to be. However, he says he became “Public Enemy No. 1” after the news of domestic violence came to fore in 2009. Then followed the pictures of Rihanna, which showed her battered face. Vanity Fair reported that the assault affected both their careers.

Time magazine quotes Chris Brown as saying that he even thought about committing suicide after the incident. He says he wasn’t able to lead a normal life after the reports were splashed in the media.

“I went from being on top of the world, No. 1 songs, being kind of like America’s sweetheart to being Public Enemy No. 1,” Brown said in the trailer for Welcome to My Life: The Official Chris Brown Documentary. “I felt like a f***ing monster… I was thinking about suicide, I wasn’t sleeping, I barely ate.”

The trailer to the movie shows a Chris Brown who is hopeful.

“If there was ever a doubt in your mind Chris Brown was done, he was finished: I wouldn’t bet on it.”

It looks like Chris Brown is determined to return. However, with the rumors of him dating Karrueche Tran, it seems like the Rihanna chapter is closed forever. Newseverday reports that Karrueche has a relationship budding with Lewis Hamilton, as the two were seen hanging out in New York.

It seems like Rihanna, meanwhile, can’t do enough to keep away the memories of Chris Brown’s cheating. Hollywood Life reported that Beyonce’s new album has brought the memories of Chris Brown back. The magazine claims that the reason Rihanna is not able to find love again is because she has pretty bad memories of her relationship with Chris Brown.

“Rihanna is feeling Beyonce’s Lemonade. It was epic, but it brought back some very painful moments in her life, particularly her saga with Chris and him not ever being able to keep it in his pants. One of the reasons why Rihanna is single to this day is because good men are hard to find. She’s tried; Chris, Drake, Leonardo [DiCaprio], Matt Kemp, but as the saying goes, if you like it, then you should have put a ring on it — sadly, she still doesn’t have one,” a source told Hollywood Life.

It looks like it’s not going to get better for Rihanna for a while.

Billboard has quoted Chris Brown as saying that the life he had was like “real-life rock stars” and that “it was a fantasy.” The documentary goes on to show how his mom, Joyce Hawkins, felt when he was going through all that.

“That was the worst day of my life and probably of his life,” she said. “I felt like I was gonna lose my child.” He also offered, “I was thinking about suicide and everything else.”

It seems like Rihanna wasn’t really happy about Chris Brown coming out with the documentary.

“Chris told [Rihanna] he was considering doing a documentary and that he would be talking about that nightmare night,” the source told Hollywood Life. exclusively. “At first, she was surprised he wanted to go public with this. She cautioned him that he had to be mentally and emotionally prepared to go back and relive it. However, he reassured her that this was something good, something he wanted to do. She supported him, and still supports him.”

However, it’s been reported that it wasn’t an easy thing for Chris Brown to talk about it in the documentary.

“It hasn’t always been easy for [Chris] to express his feelings publicly and she couldn’t be prouder for him with his documentary,” an insider told Hollywood Life. “But at the same time, Rihanna doesn’t want to rehash that dreadful day. It’s not something she thinks about and she doesn’t want Chris to either. She’s forgiven him and that’s all that matters. Chris is working on himself and trying to be the best man and father he can.
