Chrissy Teigen Responds After She Went Out Without Her Baby To Dinner With John Legend

This one certainly should be filed under MYOB in the file cabinet, because unless Chrissy Teigen and John Legend left their baby home unattended, they committed no crime by leaving Luna Simone home. But Chrissy Teigen being Chrissy Teigen, she fired back, and so did others in her defense. But there is an overwhelming sense that those attacking Teigen (and yet not attacking John Legend) are not going to let up.

The Inquisitr reported that Chrissy Teigen and John Legend welcomed daughter Luna Simone nine days ago. Teigen has been very frank about her struggle with infertility and IVF treatments. Teigen also told her social media followers that she and Legend chose the sex of their baby, which also caused an uproar on social media. It seems that Teigen, who is very up front with her social media followers, also seems to be a lightning rod for controversy.

E! Online says that though it sounds like a joke that people would become enraged that a woman would go out to dinner without her baby about a week after she gave birth, Chrissy Teigen knows the hate is real and has been responding to it with some great snarky comments. It seems that according to many people, new mothers like Teigen are not supposed to have meals in peace. On the other hand, ironically, nobody is calling out John Legend for leaving his baby home and having dinner out.

The criticism seems to be that Teigen is lacking some sort of maternal bond with her new baby and that Teigen’s need for attention and to have her picture taken was stronger than her love for baby Luna Simone. Chrissy Teigen was also shamed by people who claimed that Teigen went out drinking in bars instead of staying with her baby.

“That spotlight pull be strong. One week. Who wants to leave a one week old baby to go to a bar?” one person wrote.

Others say she should have ordered in and stayed home, not thinking that Teigen could have been getting a bit stir-crazy.

“Yeah they could have ordered in…But it’s like a competition with these self-absorbed celebs,” another critic explained.

Teigen took this latest attack in stride. When one fan asked how Luna Simone was doing, Chrissy Teigen tweeted back, “I dunno, I can’t find her. She also claims that she woke up to a wall full of nasty tweets. I went to dinner. People are pissed. Good morning!”

But luckily, in true Chrissy Teigen fashion, the photos of Teigen and John Legend show her looking great just one week after Luna Simone was born, according to Us Weekly. They reported that Teigen stepped out wearing a cream-colored sheer top and cropped black pants. The couple went out to dinner just nine days after Teigen gave birth, and she is snapping back into shape nicely.

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen headed out to dinner at the Los Angeles hotspot The Nice Guy. Teigen and Legend have been very vocal about how excited they were to finally meet Luna Simone, and some folks on Twitter are questioning this because the couple headed out to dinner without the baby.

Fox News says that the comments toward Chrissy Teigen ranged from concern to passive-aggressive to mean.

“She worried about showing off her snap back. She gone mess around and catch set back. Wow who do u really trust with your week old baby. Ain’t nothing that important that u have to go out.”

It’s likely that this negative response right after Teigen delivered Luna Simone is upsetting the model, but she is taking it like a champ and showing that she can take it and dish it out.

Chrissy Teigen will likely keep boldly defending herself on social media.
