Mayim Bialik Nearly Loses Finger In Car Accident
Mayim Bialik nearly lost her thumb today in a car accident in Los Angeles. The Big Bang Theory actress was taken to the hospital after she “severely injured her thumb.”
“Her finger was almost completely severed … it was just hanging there.”
Bialik, who starred in the NBC sitcom Blossom, was traveling in her Volvo in LA when her car was struck by a car full of Hollywood tourists.
LAPD Sergeant Monte Houze couldn’t elaborate on Bialik’s injuries bud did say that “there was a lot of blood at the scene.”
People Magazine reports that Bialik was taken to the hospital after the crash. Thankfully, it looks like the star will be able to keep her thumb.
Bialik took to Twitter after the accident to tell her fans that she’ll leave the hospital with all ten of her fingers.
Bialik wrote: (husband typing) “In pain but will keep all my fingers. If u wanna See pre accident me watch The Soup tonight lol.”
Mayim Bialik is best known for work as Blossom Russo in the show Blossom in the 1990s but has recently found more success on the show The Big Bang Theory. Bialik was nominated for an Emmy in 2012 for her role as Amy Farrah Fowler on the hit show.
