Countess LuAnn De Lesseps Claims The ‘Real Housewives Of New York’ Will Not Be Invited Her Wedding

Countess LuAnn de Lesseps is getting ready to enter a new phase in her relationship with Thomas D’Agostino. The reality star recently announced her engagement and is already making plans for her upcoming wedding. While de Lesseps is sparing no expense for the extravagant ceremony, a few of her Real Housewives of New York co-stars may not get an invite.

In an interview with Radar Online, de Lesseps revealed that she is using her off-time to plan the wedding. The ceremony is scheduled to take place over New Year’s weekend and includes three days worth of events. De Lesseps didn’t name anyone in particular, but she did reveal that only a few of her fellow Housewives will receive invites.

“I’m so happy we’re on a hiatus [from the show] and I can just focus on planning my wedding, and devoting my time to my man and my kids… I’m inviting some of the ladies. Not all of them have made it to the list.”

The event is expected to take place in Palm Beach, Florida, over the holiday season. According to Romper, D’Agostino spends a lot of time in Palm Beach whenever he is away for business, which is the main reason why they decided on that location for the festivities.

At the same time, de Lesseps is looking forward to the wedding, which will be her first proper wedding. For her first marriage, de Lesseps and her husband eloped and skipped out on a traditional ceremony.

According to Entertainment Tonight, this marks the second time de Lesseps will exchange vows. To complicate matters, LuAnn de Lesseps’ future husband has dated two of her friends on the show and only dated LuAnn for a couple of months before popping the big question.

Not only were fans shocked at the sudden engagement, but most of the women on the Real Housewives of New York were also surprised at the news. This is especially true considering de Lesseps age.

“I think we were all shocked when LuAnn told us she was engaged,” Ramona Singer told the outlet. “It was so quick. I get that at 21, 22, but at our age?”

“It doesn’t usually happen that fast, does it?” added Dorinda Medley.

In addition to the engagement news, Singer went on to tease that fans can expect something major to transpire between de Lesseps and her new man this season. While she didn’t reveal any details, she admits that it is even more shocking than the engagement.

“All I know is, more than the engagement, there’s something else that transpires that you will not believe,” she shared in the interview. “We couldn’t believe it. You’re gonna have to watch the show, because it is beyond.”

Of course, there is a good chance that Singer is referring to the epic confrontation between Bethenny Frankel and de Lesseps. Fans were treated to a preview of the showdown in the Season 8 trailer, in which Frankel criticized her co-star for not living up to her own standards.

“You have sex with younger men,” Frankel stated. “You cheat, f**k younger guys, and criticize people about the same thing that you do.”

Considering Frankel’s fight with de Lesseps, it’s safe to say that she won’t be attending the wedding. Instead, Frankel explained that she already has plans when December 31 rolls around.

In the meantime, fans will have to tune in to see the epic clash between Frankel and de Lesseps later this season. Considering their history together, it does not look like it is going to end well for either of them.

The current season of the Real Housewives of New York continues Wednesday nights on Bravo.
