Nina Dobrev Finally Moving On From Ian Somerhalder, Former ‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Getting ‘Flirty’ With Scott Eastwood

Nina Dobrev has drifted through a number of different relationships following her difficult split from longtime love and co-star Ian Somerhalder. Despite her busy schedule that includes filming for xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, Dobrev has found a new romance. Is the former Vampire Diaries star finally moving on with her life? Or will her new man be just another fling?

An insider told People that Dobrev has recently reconnected with Scott Eastwood, despite both of their busy schedules. Although the source indicated that the relationship is “not serious,” the two have been flirting heavily as of late.

“They’re flirty and have been spending some time together.”

Dobrev and Eastwood actually have a history together that began as good friends. Just last year, the actor posted a picture on Instagram of himself and Dobrev hanging out during the Teen Choice Awards. The image featured Eastwood and Dobrev goofing off and making funny faces together.

“Show me your best tiger face…..no @ninadobrev…….I said tiger face,” Eastwood wrote alongside the image. “Great night on the town with these ladies after Teen Choice Awards. Until next time @ritaora and @ninadobrev.”

Of course, Nina Dobrev posted her own silly photo on Instagram around the same time. In the picture, Dobrev and Eastwood both offered their best attempt at a vampire face.

“Who makes the better Vampire Face? Scotty, I’ll stick to my day job… and you stick to yours,” she wrote. “Scotty’s movie #LongestRide comes out in theaters next wknd, April 10th!”

Their interactions would continue a year later when the former Vampire Diaries star was spotted at a birthday party for Eastwood in California. According to ET Online, Dobrev was among the guests at the party, which marked Eastwood turning the big 3-0.

More recently, Dobrev and Eastwood were seen hanging together at a party during Neon Carnival at Coachella. Joining the two were Hunger Games star Josh Hutcherson and another rumored former flame of Dobrev’s, Derek Hough.

“They were all in great spirits and had a blast dancing together,” an eyewitness revealed.

According to the Daily Mail, Dobrev and Eastwood got a little close and comfy during the event. In fact, Eastwood posted a photo on social media that showed him hugging Dobrev while the two smiled for the camera.

“Having a fun time at Coachella with this vampire,” he captioned the image.

Dobrev wore a hat during the event and layered up with a kimono. For his part, Eastwood took a more casual approach to his look and wore a blue t-shirt. It isn’t known if the two arrived at the event together, but they clearly enjoyed each other’s company once they met up.

Based on their recent public appearances, it seems as though Eastwood and Dobrev have taken their relationship out of the friendship zone. That being said, neither party has officially confirmed the reports that they are more than just friends.

Prior to Eastwood, Dobrev was most famously involved with her Vampire Diaries co-star, Ian Somerhalder. Following their split, the actress moved on to date Austin Stowell. The two dated for around seven months before they decided to call it quits. Eastwood has been linked to Brittany Brousseau in the past, but that relationship ended back in October, 2014.

In addition to posting pictures together from awards shows and music festivals, Dobrev and Eastwood are also both good friends with Vin Diesel. Dobrev is currently working alongside Diesel in xXx: The Return of Xander Cage, while Eastwood and Diesel will appear together in Fast 8. At this time, it isn’t known if Eastwood and Dobrev plan on working together on a project in the near future.
