Harry Styles Gets Advice From Acting Legend Danny DeVito, Who Called One Direction Singer ‘Handsome’

Harry Styles has just been given acting advice from legendary actor Danny DeVito. Styles was recently reported to have landed a role in Christopher Nolan’s latest movie Dunkirk, as reported by Deadline.

If true, the film would be Harry’s proper acting debut and another successful endeavor to check off his list.

DeVito claims he advised Harry and his bandmates to take up acting during their hiatus, the New York Daily News reported.

“The big thing I told One Direction when they were breaking up was that they should take all their money and get some acting lessons,” DeVito said.

The Matilda actor said he was “delighted for Harry” and that he would “do a good movie” with Nolan.

“He is like a natural, a handsome guy and is good. And he needs to work on his skills a little,” DeVito said.

The American actor has worked with One Direction before, and he appeared in their 2014 video for the song “Steal My Girl.”

In the clip, DeVito renames all the singers. Niall, Harry, Louis, Zayn, and Liam become Light, Love, Danger, Mystery, and Power, and the guys proceed to dance with sumos, monkeys, and other interesting props. Louis did admit the video was “pretty weird,” as the Inquisitr reported at the time.

Although the short video is only five minutes long, DeVito referred to it as a “movie” and said Harry Styles and the boys “had a wonderful time making the movie.”

“The guys were really great for me,” he added.

Everyone was pretty excited about the collaboration, not least the boys themselves as Niall took to Twitter to express.

The band tweeted as well.

And legend Danny DeVito posted one of his famous “trollfoot” photos featuring his foot and the One Direction members.

Harry’s toyed with acting before, as many of the One Direction videos include an acted intro, such as “Best Song Ever,” in which all the guys parodied people from the music industry.

Harry Styles isn’t the only One Direction member who could be about to launch his acting career. Louis Tomlinson, 24, could be playing Jamie Vardy, the Leicester City and England striker, in a Hollywood movie by producer Adrian Butchart, the Inquisitr reported.

Harry Styles may be a fan favorite, but he’s not the only one getting attention during this One Direction break. Aside from Harry’s relationship antics — is he/isn’t he with Kendall — other members of the band have been keeping up the good work and making the most of their free time.

Liam Payne’s solo career debut is highly expected, as the singer teased his Instagram followers with a short snippet of an R&B song. A couple of days ago, TMZ leaked a Juicy J and Wiz Khalifa song featuring the One Direction singer, but Payne quickly turned to Twitter to announce this wasn’t a new single but only what he does to relax during the weekend.

The question on everybody’s lips: Who will be the first One Direction member to officially launch his solo career? The stakes are high, and Harry is in the lead with many new ventures already being reported on, but the others are catching up.
