Arnold Schwarzenegger And Sons: How He Hangs With Joseph Baena And Patrick Schwarzenegger

Arnold Schwarzenegger has recently been photographed in a bonding session with his son, Joseph Baena. Arnold and his son bear a striking resemblance to each other, and it looks like they’ll be looking more alike than ever before. Arnie has taken to training his business major son in the old Schwarzenegger tradition of lifting huge weights. Looks like a great opportunity for bonding, for sure.

Arnold and Joseph were caught in one of the very few pictures that exist of them together. The Sun reports that the classic action star was training his son, whom he has a close but private relationship with. The 18-year-old Baena was featured lifting weights while his dad spotted for him. They were working out at Gold’s Gym, the famous Venice Beach, California, hotspot for body builders. Things were looking good, and Baena is looking more and more like his dad every time we see him.

The business major, Joseph, was using two 55-pound dumbells, certainly worthy of a budding Schwarzenegger. Dad looked super proud as well, barely concealing a grin of approval as his son struggled through and finished the workouts. Arnie was also caught bragging about his son’s marks and school performance, telling other gym goers and weight lifters that Baena is a straight A student.

Some fans seem to think that Arnold had a tough father himself, and that would be a good reason why the muscle man wants to be a good dad to his own sons.

There are those who just aren’t buying the Schwarzenegger could be a good father.

However, it wasn’t all good news on the Schwarzenegger family front. Arnie later had to make his way to Coachella to meet with his older son, the 22-year-old Patrick. The younger Schwarzenegger had recently been filmed using mystery pills at a dance party, which was doubtless a concerning news for Arnold.

It was later said by Patrick’s representative that the pill was nothing more than an herbal remedy to prevent hangovers in the morning. The rep told Daily Mail that Pat “doesn’t take drugs.” This must have been happy news for Arnold, who has clearly put plenty of effort into being as good a dad as he was an action star, and his two sons are both looking like it’s paid off.

Baena is the love-child of Arnold and his former housekeeper with whom he had a love affair. The truth of the matter only came to light nearly 15 years later, when in 2011 Arnold’s wife, Maria, divorced him over the fling.

Nonetheless, Arnold has proven himself a loving and supportive father to Joseph and Patrick, and his two sons both seem to be enjoying life and making something of themselves.

Arnold himself didn’t even know that Baena was his for years, but when Joseph started developing characteristic Schwarzenegger features, like the chiseled jaw and massive frame, that changed. Arnold says that when the boy “started looking like me, that’s when I kind of got it. I put things together.” Hard not to notice the similarities, as Joseph looks far more like his father than his half-brother Pat, who seems to take after his mother. Schwarzenegger has a total of five children, including Patrick and Joseph, his two daughters, Katherine and Christian, 26 and 24 respectively, and his other 18-year-old son Christopher. Christopher was born just days before Joseph.

In February, the Daily Mail reported that the youngest Schwarzenegger son was seen out with a “mystery brunette” for Valentine’s Day. Christopher doesn’t look nearly as much like his famous father as half-brother Joseph does.

While Schwarzenegger admittedly isn’t as close to Baena as he would like to be, the Commando star has taken pains to make up for lost time. He has bought the Baena family a four-bedroom mansion, swimming pool included, in Bakersville. The body-builder-turned actor (and even sometime politician) has also given Joseph some more personal gifts, including a brand new Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. The gift preceded Joseph’s driver’s license by a month, but was just in time for Christmas. There are two ways to go about finding out you have a long-lost son, and it looks like Arnold clearly took the better option.
