‘RHOP’ Star Karen Huger Slams Ashley Darby But Hasn’t ‘Given Up On Her Yet’

Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger may see herself as the Grand Dame of Potomac, putting herself on a high pedestal compared to her co-stars, but it sounds like she still wants to let Ashley get into the Potomac social circle. As it turns out, Karen and Ashley didn’t really get along this season, because Darby didn’t follow Huger’s etiquette rules and Ashley felt that Karen was too uptight. Even though the two are clearly on different levels, it sounds like Karen wants to continue her campaign to let Ashley inside the Potomac social circle.

According to a new Bravo report, Real Housewives of Potomac star Karen Huger is now revealing that her co-star and her husband made her feel uncomfortable during the dramatic trip to Bethany Beach. Darby had invited all of the ladies to the beach house for a girls weekend, but when Ashley’s husband showed up, Karen Huger lost her cool. Karen revealed that she felt very uncomfortable with a man there, and Huger’s husband felt the same way.

“I’m not sure whether Ashley could not or just simply chose not to understand that I was uncomfortable and Michael didn’t seem to understand what he did was wrong by showing up unexpectedly. Ray felt the same way I did about the situation. I thought it appropriate that Ray would talk to Michael and maybe help him understand why that was a issue,” Karen Huger explains on her blog for Bravo.

But it sounds like Karen’s husband was pretty upset about the whole thing. He didn’t appreciate Michael Darby showing up and surprising the ladies. He made the argument that he didn’t want anyone else seeing Karen in skimpy outfits. Maybe he forgot that she was filming a show that had millions of viewers. Or maybe he missed the part where she was filming the show with her breasts hanging out. It seemed like an invalid argument. But Huger decided to stand by her husband, saying that Michael was wrong in the entire thing.

“Michael was all wrong. Ray and I have been married for 20 years and we don’t speak for one another. Ray speaks for himself, quite brilliantly I might add,” Karen Huger revealed about her husband, who spoke out about the girls weekend.

But that wasn’t all that was taking her attention. Throughout the season, Darby had revealed that she and her husband were using the pull-out method when they were having sex to avoid getting pregnant. While it was working for them, Karen felt that it was simply too much information.

“When Andy addressed the comment, I explained to him that I was just repeating what Ashley had told me and merely encouraging them to have the baby that they were saying they want to have. Ashley then would understand the trials and tribulations and joys of raising a child and a mother’s desire to protect her child at all costs,” Karen Huger revealed, adding, “While I was disappointed with many of Ashley’s comments I haven’t given up on her, yet.”

It sounds like Huger wants to give Ashley a second chance, and it sounds like she will get that opportunity, as they are both being offered the chance to come back on The Real Housewives of Potomac. Darby had hinted that she wanted to come back on the show and did hint that all of the ladies would be coming back.
