Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have welcomed their first child, a daughter, named Luna Simone Stephens, who weighs 6.11 pounds and was born Thursday. The couple, who say they “couldn’t be happier,” have been very public about their IVF struggles that led to the birth of baby Luna Simone Stephens. John Legend uses the name John Legend for professional purposes, but his legal name is John Roger Stephens.
According to the Inquisitr, Teigen and Legend have been very honest about the details of their infertility treatments, including IVF to conceive baby Luna. Legend and Teigen also received criticism for choosing the sex of their child, which caught the couple by surprise. People tweeted, “what if your child decides to identify as he,” and other personal questions, to which Teigen responded that “there are so many other things in life that deserve your outrage,” and she was overwhelmed by all the anger and the buzzwords being thrown at her.

E! Online reported that true to her cheeky nature, Chrissy Teigen let the world know that new dad John Legend survived the birth, and was doing just fine.
“To everyone asking, John is healing perfectly.”
Teigen, who is very active on social media, tweeted a moment of panic as to what will be different now that Luna Simone Stephens is here.
“Thank you for all the well wishes!!! We are so happy and excited! I dunno what to tweet now. Does my twitter change?” she added. “This is so awkward.”

John Legend spoke jokingly, and said that Teigen was feeling pressured, because everyone has been saying that Luna Simone Stephens will be so cute, but what if she is born and she isn’t cute? Not every baby is cute.
“Let’s just hope that she’s healthy and that’s all we are focused on.”
Amen, and congratulations to John Legend and Chrissy Teigen.

Teigen, who is known for her high energy, says that pregnancy has made her even more energetic, and that Luna Simone Stephens is hopefully only the first addition to the bicoastal Stephens/Legend/Teigen family.
“I think I’ll probably be pregnant all through my 30s. I’ve always pictured everyone around the table for the holidays and together once a week. It’ll be heartbreaking if it doesn’t end up happening, but hopefully it will. We’ve got some embryos on hold.”
Chrissy Teigen sounds like a woman with a plan, and she said she doesn’t have any concerns about integrating a baby into the very mobile lifestyle that is dictated by John Legend’s concert schedule and busy career.

Australia News Network joked that fans of Harry Potter were going to love the name that John Legend and Chrissy Teigen chose for their new baby, Luna Simone, because it will remind them of Luna Lovegood from the Harry Potter series. Teigen has spoken in the press about how well she knows husband John Legend, and how well he knows her, but that they know nothing about how they will be as parents.
“But we have no idea what we’re going to be like as parents. I think it’ll be really fun. I’m excited.”
