‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops 3’ Eclipse DLC Preload Available Now Enabled In Europe
It was on March 31 of this year that The Inquisitr first reported the release of the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC pack titled “Eclipse.” With this expansion pack, players will continue to enjoy the zombie experience from “Awakening” as well as four new multiplayer maps. As per usual, PlayStation 4 users will have access to the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC pack before PC and Xbox One players. In fact, Activision has yet to announce release dates for PC and Xbox users.
WCCF Tech has reported that the second DLC map pack is now available for pre-load in Europe. Unfortunately, it has also been reported that players who have purchased the Season Pass of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 will not be able to pre-load Eclipse DLC. This is because the download can only be started after the DLC pack has been purchased and this is not something players with a seasonal pack have to do. WCCF Tech went on to report that it was not currently known whether or not the DLC pack was also available for pre-load in North America. The new Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC pack is roughly 7.2 GB in size.
Just a few days ago, there were new trailers released for the new Zetsubo no Shima zombie adventure, which is part of the new DLC pack. It has also been revealed that the four new multiplayer maps on this DLC pack include Spire, Rift, Knockout, and Verge.

A Closer Look At The Four Multiplayer Maps
Spire: In Spire, players are dropped into a futuristic sub-orbital airport terminal for combat that is high up in the clouds. It is important to watch where you step as you could end up falling back into the stratosphere
Rift: In Rift, players are dropped into a harsh futuristic military complex for combat. This map offers an intense combat as the only way to move through the map is to go forward.
Knockout: Knockout is a map located in a retro-themed Shaolin Temple.

With The New DLC Pack Comes New Patches Too
In the past week, Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar announced the release of a new patch which will likely offer some balance changes to the game. On his Twitter profile, David Vonderhaar revealed that the Vesper SMG was underperforming so badly it had become the worst gun in its class. He went on to talk about how the Razorback was slightly underperforming as well. Gamers are hopeful the release of the next patch will improve these underperforming guns in some way.
PlayStation 4 users will be the first to enjoy the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 DLC pack when it is released on April 19 (in just two days). This release is part of the timed exclusivity deal that Sony has with Activision in order to give their players first access. While the release date has not been announced, Xbox One and PC players can expect to gain access to the pack about a month after PS4 users.
In terms of getting the pack, players have two options. The first is buying the pack separately for $15. The second is purchasing the pack as part of the Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 season pass. The Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 season pass is $50. It includes all four of the DLC packs. By buying the pass gamers can enjoy a $10 discount.
