Michelle Fields Won’t Give Up Fight Against Trump, Claims Corey Lewandowski ‘Defamed’ Her
Despite video evidence surfacing of the alleged battery incident between Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski and former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields, the determined reporter seemingly won’t give up her fight against the Trump team. Fields is now saying that Trump and Lewandowski “defamed” her following the incident by lying about the altercation and calling her delusional. However, prosecutors watching the video are siding with Trump noting that there was not enough evidence to prosecute Lewandowski. This has led many that have watched the video to question Fields’ account of the altercation noting at no point did she appear to be pulled to the ground as was originally stated by her boyfriend.

Initial reports by Michelle Fields claimed that Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski had “yanked her arm” and tried to “pull her to the ground.” She also noted that he “aggressively tried to pull me to the ground.” The allegations seemed damning as many demanded that Trump immediately fire Lewandowski for the apparent assault on a reporter. However, Trump refused noting that Fields was lying about the encounter and had already changed her story too many times. He indicated that he would stand by Corey Lewandowski and his family and wait for Corey’s day in court before making any rash decisions.
“I can’t destroy a man. I can’t destroy him. He’s got a beautiful wife and children, and I’m not gonna destroy a man for that.”
Trump later noted that there were numerous surveillance cameras in the building at the time of the alleged altercation and that they vindicated Lewandowski of Fields’ claims. Trump released those videos to the prosecutors and it was determined that there was no evidence of battery taking place in the video. Many people who had previously supported Michelle Fields seemed to agree after watching the video of the encounter that Fields’ representation of the encounter was way off base with Fields never seeming to be “pulled to the ground.” You can watch the video for yourself below.
Though persecutors have denied that there is any evidence of battery on the part of Corey Lewandowski, Fields isn’t giving up on her attacks against the campaign manager. With the battery case dead in the water, Fields is now attacking both Trump and Lewandowski saying they “defamed” her by calling her “delusional” and for lying about trying to contact her following the altercation.
“He [Lewandowski] grabbed me, he denied it, he defamed me. I don’t think I’m getting an apology, but it would be nice.”
Fields crying defamation seems somewhat ironic given the fact that the video clearly shows that her original account of the incident was not accurate. At no point did Fields appear to stumble, fall, or even go anywhere near the ground. In fact, following Lewandowski pulling her arm, Fields’ expression didn’t seem to change much.
According to MSNBC, Lewandowski says an apology to Fields is not likely as his “sum total relationship” with Michelle Fields was captured on that surveillance footage which was released to the public.

“What I acknowledge is the sum total of my relationship with Ms. Fields was caught on that videotape. She’s an individual I had never met before, had never spoken to before. The whole incident lasted less than three seconds and was me moving from one location to another location. I would have remembered if I had tried to violently throw someone to the ground or if there were an incident that would have been memorable. And there wasn’t.”
Lewandowski says the incident was so mild that he didn’t even recall it until Fields boyfriend posted about the encounter on Twitter calling Lewandowski a “thug.”
“I’d be happy to have a conversation with her, but to apologize to someone I’ve never spoken to and candidly don’t ever remember having any interaction with, I think is something that is a little unrealistic right now.”
What do you think about Michelle Fields’ claim that Trump and Lewandowski “defamed” her by calling her delusional following the incident?
