Jamie Dornan Puts Wedding Ring On Dakota Johnson In ‘Fifty Shades Darker’

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson are making headway in the filming of Fifty Shades Darker, and it looks like they are hitting all the important plot points! The latest update from their Canadian shooting location is that Jamie and Dakota are sporting wedding rings on set.

Sounds like Fifty Shades Darker fans will get a sneak peak into the married life of the couple.

“The book Fifty Shades Darker ends with Anastasia Steel accepting Christian Grey’s proposal,” reports Daily Mail. “But it appears the film will continue on to give a glimpse into the early life of Mr and Mrs Grey as Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan were pictured filming scenes as the happily married couple. The 26-year-old actress could be seen with an engagement ring and wedding band in place as she filmed the blissful scene on the sequel’s Vancouver set in Canada.”

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson have been shooting for about a month in Vancouver now, doing scenes that involve hot and heavy chemistry as well as more lackadaisical one as post-marital bliss that involves wedding rings.

Just a week ago, Jamie and Dakota were tackling moments in Fifty Shades Darker that required them to step up their onscreen chemistry.

“While speculation has continued to circulate regarding the lackluster chemistry between Jamie Dornan (Christian Grey) and Dakota Johnson (Anastasia Steele) in Fifty Shades Darker, a new report suggests that the actors are now sizzling on set,” reports Heavy.

Despite the fact that they were criticized for having the worst on-screen romance at Razzie Awards, it looks like this time around, they are trying harder to make the magic of the books come alive for their loyal fans.

Also the fact that the male star of the film is looking more and more protective towards his heroine may give hints about the fact that this sequel will be way better in terms of the level of sexual tension. Topping it all off with a wedding ring may bring down the dramatic nature of the books.

Guess we will all have to wait to see how the film will handle the wedding ring moments.

“While they weren’t seen sharing a kiss this time around, their body language says it all,” reports In Style. “Dressed to ward off the chilly spring weather in coordinating black and navy ensembles, Johnson and Dornan looked in synch as they held hands crossing the street while in character as Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey.”

From the photos, it looks like the die-hard fans can hope that the sequel is better than the first one.

It is very possible that Jamie Dornan is using his new baby as a motivation to work harder. Right before flying to Canada, he and his wife Amelia Warner had their second baby.

“The actor and his wife recently welcomed their second child,” reports E! Online. “Details including the baby’s name and sex were not immediately available. Photos of Warner pushing a stroller in Notting Hill surfaced online Monday, and the following afternoon, Dornan was photographed back on the set of Fifty Shades Darker in Vancouver.”

While he may feel uneasy about leaving his wife, their daughter Dulcie, and the newborn in London, it looks like he is channeling his anxiety in his performances.

The Irish actor’s dedication towards fatherhood has been unwavering, one of the reasons why his chemistry with Dakota Johnson may have been so bad the first time around.

“It’s amazing. I love fatherhood,” he said according to British Vogue. “These last couple of years have been quite something. But we’re enjoying it.”

While his character Christian Grey is far from being a nurturing, supportive, and gentle father figure, the 33-year-old actor is probably having a great release from showing a side of himself that he normally can’t for the camera.
