Prince Rushed To Hospital After Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Illinois [Breaking]

Prince was rushed to a hospital in Illinois after some kind of medical emergency on board a private jet. According to TMZ, Prince was on a plane traveling to an unknown destination when something happened. The plane made an emergency landing at Quad City International Airport in Moline. After landing safely, Prince was taken to a nearby hospital, transported by ambulance.

Different sources are saying different things at this time, but what happened or Prince’s current condition are unclear. One source said that Prince is still in the hospital, “not doing well,” while another has said that he has been released and that he is okay. Further details have not yet been made available.

Prince performed a show on Thursday night in Atlanta. According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Prince performed some of his hits, including “Little Red Corvette” and “I Feel For You,” during the first of two sold out shows at the Fox Theatre.

“Billed as the ‘Piano & A Microphone’ tour, Prince presented exactly what was advertised. A baby grand piano sat alone, with only a few clusters of candles sharing the stage, while a massive video screen projected kaleidoscopic swirls throughout the hour and 20 minute show. Yes, if there is a nit to pick, it’s that Prince didn’t even hit the 90-minute mark, and with tickets draining bank accounts for more than $1,000 for the best seats, some fans might feel fleeced. True, the venue needed to be turned in time for the 10 p.m. show, but another few songs likely wouldn’t have affected ebb and flow.”

Update

A rep for Prince told TMZ that the singer had been fighting the flu for quite some time. The rep said that Prince was determined to perform in Atlanta after canceling a different two shows on April 7. However, when he left after Thursday night’s show, he felt horrible and the plane had to land. The rep said that Prince was treated at an area hospital before being released. He is currently resting at his home.

It is unknown if he will cancel any more upcoming shows.

Fans are relieved to hear that Prince is okay. Many took to Twitter to voice their concerns — and their subsequent relief. Many have been tweeting Prince directly, sending him get well soon wishes.

About an hour ago, just after news of Prince’s hospitalization broke, there was a tweet on Prince’s official Twitter account. It made no mention of his sickness and it is unclear if it was Prince himself tweeting, but it does suggest that all is well in the world of Prince.
