‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Corey Simms Looks To Leah Messer For ‘Therapy Activities’?
Corey Simms and his ex-wife, Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer, are reportedly on great terms.
In addition to settling their custody battle over 6-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah, the former couple is said to be co-parenting “well,” and Corey Simms has reportedly taken lessons in therapy from his ex-wife.
“[Corey Simms] and I, we have been co-parenting really well. I came back from treatment… They actually looked to me for their, like, therapy activities. Like, let’s do… They didn’t believe in therapy before I came back. So, we’re in a better place than we was,” Messer explained during an interview on Steve Harvey, which airs on Monday, April 18.
Although Messer didn’t specify who she meant when she said “they,” she could be talking about Corey Simms and his new wife, Miranda, who spoke to Messer on camera for Teen Mom 2 before she entered treatment in May 2015.
Corey Simms and Messer were married for only a few months before they split in 2011. Two years later, Corey Simms married Miranda, with whom he shares a 5-month-old daughter, Remington Monroe.

On Teen Mom 2, Corey Simms and Miranda appear to be very happy together after nearly three years of marriage, and since welcoming their daughter in November 2015, they have been spending tons of time as a family with Remington and the twins.
Typically on Teen Mom 2, Corey Simms appears in a full-time role, but ahead of Season 7, he and wife, Miranda, reportedly took a step back after facing major backlash during and after Season 6. As Radar Online reported, Corey Simms wasn’t thrilled with the way he and Miranda were edited, nor did he approve of Messer getting off easy despite her questionable behavior.
As the outlet’s source explained, Corey Simms reportedly refused to film regularly, claiming he and Miranda were edited to look as if they were attacking Messer for nothing.
Corey Simms also spoke of the issue on Twitter, telling fans he had good reason to believe Messer was hiding a possible drug problem.
“There is a lot of things that has been told to us by very close members of her family that lead us to believe the things being told are very much true,” Corey Simms wrote at the time, according to the Ashley’s Reality Roundup. “If we didn’t care about the girls or the situation we would obviously not have anything to say or do about it Thank you to the people who understand and to the people that don’t well that just sucks now don’t it?”

Corey Simms and his wife have been staying fairly silent on social media since pulling back from Teen Mom 2, sharing only a few retweets and comments about their daughter in recent weeks. Meanwhile, Corey Simms’ dad has been keeping fans in the loop with his family by sharing regular photos of Ali, Aleeah, and Remington on Instagram.
So far, Corey Simms has stayed silent in regard to his reduced role on Teen Mom 2, and MTV has also chosen not to comment on the recent Radar Online report. However, as the season continues, fans will see for sure what Corey Simms’ role will be.
