Zooey Deschanel Won’t Cave Into Post Baby Body Pressure For ‘New Girl’ Season 6

Zooey Deschanel is determined not to give into unrealistic expectations to bounce back after having a baby. And it looks like all her New Girl cast members are supportive of her choice to not let other people dictate her life with her baby.

“To expect someone to look like her pre-baby self immediately is odd,” Zooey said to Redbook Magazine. “Because you just grew a human and then birthed that human — there’s a lot that needs to go back to where it was. All your organs move around, for chrissakes!”

She also made sure that all her big fans knew about this interview that she did on her Twitter page.

In fact, New Girl actress is letting her baby change her lifestyle instead of her post baby body standards rule her.

“I’ve slowed things down a bit. I think it’s good for your whole self— your creative self, your professional self, and just your soul— to take a little time for yourself and your family. You can spend your whole life going after things, but I think you risk missing out on some really powerful self-reflection.”

Good thing that her take-it-slow attitude is making her glow! The new mother was caught in Los Angeles looking more radiant than ever on her way to her dermatologist.

“Zooey Deschanel once again showcased her effortless good looks as she stepped out completely make-up free while out and about in Los Angeles on Friday,” reports Daily Mail. “And the 36-year-old star didn’t let the city’s unusual downpours stop her from ensuring her skin care regimen was intact as she paid a visit to her dermatologist.”

Plus, she is working harder than ever! She recently promoted a new animated movie that she is in, showing how much she is having fun with all the creative people involved in Trolls.

But Trolls isn’t the only project that is on Zooey’s mind. Her show New Girl just got renewed for season 6, meaning that she will have a lot on her plate without even meaning to.

“New Girl has been renewed for a sixth season,” reports Daily Mail. “The sitcom — which stars Zooey Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Lamorne Morris, Max Greenfield, and Hannah Simone — recently celebrated its 100th episode.”

Of course, she didn’t forget to promote this renewal on her Twitter.

Seeing how her baby daughter is just about ten months old, this still seems a lot of work that she is taking on despite her take-it-slowly mantra. Also, she has been making for her husband Jacob Pechenik, so that he doesn’t feel not taken care of.

“Zooey Deschanel decided to treat herself to an evening out in adult company as she attended the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party in Beverly Hills with Jacob Pechenik,” according to Daily Mail. “Enjoying a date night with her husband, the 36-year-old actress seemed ready to party as she posed in front of the cameras.”

It may help for the new parents to focus on themselves from time to time so that they have what it takes to rear a healthy daughter.

In addition, she has been making sure that her baby is with her as much as possible when she is on set. Maybe Zooey is priming her for a life in movies and TV shows as well.

Seeing how her daddy is a TV producer, it might be a smart thing that Zooey and Jacob are making sure that their baby feels at home on set.
