Injuries are one thing, but there are some characters who simply haven’t been on WWE television in some time, and many are beginning to wonder where they are. Ever since WrestleMania 32 , Ryback hasn’t been seen or heard from, but there are even bigger names missing. The Authority has been noticeably absent, and many are wondering when Triple H and Stephanie McMahon will return. However, it’s really hard to tell.
At WrestleMania 32 , Triple H lost the WWE World Heavyweight Title to Roman Reigns as his wife, Stephanie McMahon, stood at ringside. Since then, the power couple has not been seen anywhere, and it’s not exactly known when they will return.
After the pay-per-view, it was believed that The Authority angle would be done with entirely and not seen again. Cageside Seats believed that things were finally over for them and their control would no longer be seen on WWE television.
On the night after WrestleMania 32 , Vince McMahon showed up on Monday Night Raw and handed control of the show over to his son, Shane McMahon. This completely ignored the stipulation that Shane would not get control of Raw if he lost to The Undertaker in Hell in a Cell , which he did.
This past Monday Night Raw , Vince was nowhere to be seen, and Shane McMahon was put in control of the show once again.
The thing is, there isn’t a single McMahon advertised for any of the upcoming WWE television shows, and that includes on the European tour. Shane McMahon, Stephanie McMahon, Vince McMahon, and Triple H are all off of the list of talent scheduled to appear at Monday Night Raw in London next week.
Looking at the WWE Live Events page, it is shown that Triple H is still featured in a number of photo ads for a few upcoming events near the end of April. One of them is the Monday Night Raw taking place on April 25 in Hartford, Connecticut, along with May 2 in St. Louis and May 9 in Omaha.
While featured in the photos, Triple H is not mentioned in any of the ads, and it isn’t believed that he will be appearing at anything until a good bit after Payback on May 1.
The Greensboro Coliseum Complex is still advertising for Triple H to appear at the Monday Night Raw on May 16. If that is when he does make his return, it will have been a full month-and-a-half since being seen on WWE television.
It has been revealed that The Authority stable/angle would be taking a break from TV for a while, but it was never known for how long. Vince McMahon is also not expected to be seen on WWE television again for a while after making his appearance on Monday Night Raw last week.
The Authority has gone through a number of changes over time, with it being rather strong and dwindling down to just Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. At some point, though, there have been numerous members.
- Seth Rollins
- Randy Orton
- Corporate Kane
- The Shield
- The League of Nations
- J&J Security
- Big Show
It has weakened over time, and maybe it’s WWE’s way of slowing dwindling it down to nothing. Maybe fans have seen the last of the stable, or maybe it’s just taking an extended break.
The Authority stable is taking a break from WWE television for a while, but no one really knows for just how long. It’s obvious that the company may have had plans in place for them to be back soon but are now changing that and keeping Triple H and Stephanie McMahon off of TV longer. Maybe there will be something with the brand extension returning and Shane McMahon is going to hang around a bit longer than anyone thought.
