Clint Eastwood sees a lot of himself in his son Scott Eastwood, an up-and-coming action star making a mark for himself in Hollywood. The older Eastwood, whose unforgettable roles in such movies as For a Few Dollars More and Dirty Harry have entrenched him as a definitive icon of American masculinity, has conveyed delight over his son’s progress, both professionally and with women.
According to USA Today, Clint Eastwood expressed his fatherly views when he received Fandango’s Fan Choice Award at CinemaConin Vegas in April of 2015. He discussed with reporters his huge commercial hit American Sniper, his feud with critic Michael Moore whom he was accused of “threatening to kill,” and his son’s knack for women. On April 11, 2016, Scott officially became the latest hunk added to the “Fast & Furious” franchise roster in a role written specifically for him. Some critics say that being Clint Eastwood’s son counted in Scott’s landing a big role in the upcoming eighth installment of the Fast and Furious. But others point out that his name does carry market value to justify his playing protégé to Kurt Russel’s character, Mr. Nobody.“I’ll see if he’s a chip off the old block. Using the name Scott Reeves to fend off nepotism comments in his early foray into acting, the younger Eastwood got his debut film role in Flags of Our Fathers directed by his father.
