‘Bates Motel’ Spoilers: Norman Checks Himself Out Of Pineview, Dylan Professes His Love For Emma, And Norma Threatens Someone With A Gun
After a one week hiatus, Bates Motel returns tonight with an action-packed episode that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. In an episode named “Refraction,” Norma Bates (Vera Farmiga) and Sheriff Romero (Nester Carbonell) attempt to settle into married life when her home is broken into unexpectedly. It upsets Norma, and she begins to wonder why Alex is not taking the threat more seriously. Norman (Freddie Highmore) checks himself out of the mental institution because he doesn’t think he needs inpatient care. Dylan (Max Theriot) will tell Norman that he is in love with Emma (Olivia Cooke).
A&E released the April 11 sneak peak showing Norma and Alex cleaning up her house after a break in. Of course, Norma thinks it is Bob Paris; however, Bates Motel fans know that is not possible since Romero murdered him in the Season 3 finale. Alex tries to convince his bride that it is probably just an amateur or someone trying to get under her skin. The truth is, Alex knows it is related to the money he is hiding from his wife, and what a boatload of cash it is. At some point, she will likely find out, resulting in an epic confrontation.
Bates Motel spoilers indicate that Norman will feel he has gotten everything he can from treatment and has decided it’s time to go home. Norman tells Dr. Edwards (Damon Gupton) that not only does he doubt that he needs treatment right now, but he feels worse talking about his problems than just ignoring them. The shrink will try to discourage him from checking himself out of Pineview, but truthfully, Bates is an adult. If he wants to leave, he can check himself out.

Bates Motel spoilers indicate that Norman will ask what the process is to leave the facility. He knows that if he leaves the mental institution, his mother will not be happy about it. He will ultimately decide that it’s time for him to move on, and implement the skills he has learned in the facility in hopes it is enough to calm his urge to hurt others. Bates Motel fans know that Norman is destined to kill again, and most likely very soon.
Design & Trend reports that a crime investigation will threaten Romero’s new life with Norma, and he will do whatever it takes to protect his marriage and his secret (Bob’s money). Bates Motel fans know that secrets have a way of being revealed in the tiny town, and nothing stays buried forever. Norma has managed to keep law enforcement (besides Alex) from suspecting that Norman had anything to do with any of the murders he’s committed; however, the spoilers indicate that at some point, the police start to suspect the innocent looking young man.

Bates Motel spoilers reveal that Dylan will attempt to have a heart-to-heart conversation with his younger brother, Norman, and tell him that he is in love with Emma. Dylan anticipates he will not take the news well because Emma was his special friend for so long. At the same time, Dylan knows that his brother is not good for Emma and is relieved that she is with him now. Will Norman take the news well that Emma is in a relationship with Dylan? How will he feel when he learns that Emma had a life-saving lung transplant while he was away?
In the last scene of the A&E preview for tonight’s episode, Norma pulls out a gun and tells someone to leave her alone. It has been speculated for a few weeks that she is talking to Norman. It seems unlikely that she would tell her son to leave her alone. It is likely someone connected to Bob Paris or Sheriff Romero.
