Mercedes ‘MJ’ Javid Skipped Mike Shouhed And Jessica Parido’s Wedding Because Of His Cheating

Mercedes “MJ” Javid has finally revealed why she didn’t attend Mike Shouhed and Jessica Parido’s wedding last March. On Sunday night, after the Shahs of Sunset Season 5 premiere episode aired, MJ went on Andy Cohen’s talk show Watch What Happens Live. During MJ’s appearance, a viewer called in and asked MJ if she saw Mike and Jessica’s divorce coming.

MJ replied that she did. Shockingly, MJ said that she knew of Mike’s cheating on Jessica and that is why she didn’t attend the wedding. MJ claimed that she actually found out about the cheating, presumably the cheating that led to Mike and Jessica’s divorce, on the day of the wedding.

“Yeah, that’s why I didn’t go to the wedding. I was the only one that didn’t go to the wedding. The day of the wedding I found out about the cheating and I didn’t go, and [Mike] knows.”

MJ did not elaborate on how she found out the cheating and whether their other co-stars also knew at that time. Reza Farahan, Asa Soltan Rahmati, and Asifa Mirza attended Mike and Jessica’s wedding at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. Footage from the wedding was shown on the Season 5 premiere episode.

Besides MJ, there was actually another Shahs of Sunset star who didn’t attend the wedding. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi said last year before the wedding that she didn’t get an invite. Not surprisingly, GG wasn’t shocked or upset by the lack of invite. In the same interview, GG also made fun of Jessica for going ahead with the wedding despite the fact that Mike cheats on her.

As viewers saw last season, GG publicly claimed, in front of Jessica, that Mike tried to have sex with her during the group’s trip to Turkey the year prior. On the season 4 reunion show, which filmed shortly after Mike Shouhed and Jessica Parido’s wedding, Mercedes “MJ” Javid said that Mike and Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi did have sex with one another.

“They did have sex and she got grossed out and stopped it.”

Mike defended himself by saying that he doesn’t remember that happening. Even more shocking than what MJ said was what GG later claimed.

“Wait didn’t you f**k my sister on your engagement night or something? Cause we have that proof as well. That’s coming up.”

Mike denied GG’s claim and called her “disgusting.” The other cast members looked shocked but seemed to believe it. Reza Farahan kept asking Mike if Jessica knows what happened. Asa Soltan Rahmati gave a knowing look when Mike did admit that he went shopping with GG’s sister the day of the proposal. As the Inquisitr reported, Asa later implied in her blog that what GG claimed was true.

Jessica, who was all set to join the cast on the reunion set, ended up never coming out of her trailer. Mike said that he didn’t want Jessica being attacked by his co-stars. Andy instead did a short interview with her inside the trailer. During the interview, Jessica stood by Mike and said that whatever GG said doesn’t matter to her anymore since she and Mike are now married.

As Mercedes “MJ” Javid predicted, the marriage ended up being a very short one. Jessica filed for divorce eight months after the wedding. In an interview with In Touch Weekly, Jessica said that she discovered sexually graphic text messages that Mike sent to women he was cheating on her with.

Viewers will see Mike Shouhed’s cheating come to light and the ensuing marital drama with Jessica Parido play out this season of Shahs of Sunset. In a promo clip for Season 5, co-star Reza Farahan called what viewers will see happen between Jessica and Mike so “intense” that he still can’t wrap his head around it. Reza added that Mike goes “insane” trying to get Jessica back.
