Stephen Curry Collapsed, Jordan Spieth’s News Affected NBA Superstar
Golden State Warriors top guard Stephen Curry collapsed to the floor after he heard the news about young, talented golfer Jordan Spieth’s quadruple bogey.
Jordan Spieth is currently holding a record of seven consecutive rounds at the Masters, but he is unable to continue his eighth streak after having a quadruple bogey during the par-three 12th at the Masters, according to Dallas News.
Competing with Danny Willet, Jordan Spieth had went from five strokes to three strokes back to Willet.
Spieth’s gracious defeat had started out seemingly well when Spieth had a one-shot lead over Smylie Kaufman. However, he struggled during the third day when he lost his lead during the final round.
Still, this defeat gave Jordan Spieth a second place finish at Masters. This is his fifth consecutive Top-5 championship.
Stephen Curry Feeling the Loss
Apparently, Jordan Spieth is connected to Stephen Curry because they have the same sponsor. When Curry heard about Spieth’s struggle at the 12th hole, Stephen Curry collapsed to the floor as he was warming up before the San Antonio Spurs game, according to ESPN.
ESPN reporter Marc Stein said that Curry was doing his normal routine when he heard about the news.
“All of a sudden Andre Iguodala comes darting onto the floor out of the locker room to let Steph [know] that Spieth had just quadruple bogeyed,” Stein said. “Steph collapsed to the floor. It was mock agony, but it wasn’t mock agony because he kind of lowered himself to the floor slowly, but he was shaken up by it and shocked by it.”

Stein added that Curry had rushed to finish his pregame warm up to catch up on Spieth’s final round.
Curry has felt the big loss for his comrade Spieth who said after the tournament, “It was a very tough 30 minutes for me that hopefully I never experience again.”
Support for Spieth
Just like Stephen Curry, fans have also expressed their support and dismay on the outcome of Spieth’s game. The Twitterverse have expressed their support for the pro golfer and told him to move forward.
Though some were supportive, there were others who were completely disappointed in the performance Spieth gave during the 12th hole.

Though people prayed for a comeback during the 13th hole, it was Danny Willet who won the game. Spieth acknowledged the big challenge he faced during the game.

“It’s tough, really tough. [On the 12th] That ball flight is one that has come up for me quite a lot at par threes this week. I should have gone to the drop zone. Lack of discipline to hit it over the bunker after dropping two shots. I’m pretty sure I’ll be disappointed. We still have the confidence we area closing team and can close. It was juts a very tough 30 minutes for me but we can get over it.”
At the same time, Danny Willet also said that the game had been a hard one.
“I’m expecting that we’re five or six back going into the last day, in with a reasonable chance, but you’re going to have to do something special,” said Willett, who only arrived in Augusta on Monday after the birth of his first child last week.
Danny Willet is the second Englishman to win the Masters after Nick Faldo.
“This golf course, even if you’re hitting it really well, you’ve still got to make putts on these greens. Obviously with crosswinds and fast greens, it’s never easy.
“The golf course has firmed up day by day so hopefully if the wind does die (on Sunday), we can still keep the control of the ball flight and hopefully roll a few in.”
