Donald Trump takes his “Trump Train” to the New York state capital, Albany, on Monday, where he holds another rally, this time from the 17,500-seater Times-Union Center sports arena in Albany, his second rally in two days in Trump’s home state. Albany is a vitally important state for him to win if he wants to overcome his setback in the Wisconsin primary on Tuesday.

Trump cwent away from Wisconsin frustrated after his rejection by Wisconsin voters in a state where Trump held rallies in half-full arenas and ended up losing to Republican rival Ted Cruz by a stinging 13.1 points, claiming only six of the state’s 42 delegates.

Trump did not react well to the unfamiliar defeat, issuing a statement later Tuesday night, blasting Cruz and accusing the Republican party of cheating.

“Donald J. Trump withstood the onslaught of the establishment yet again. Lyin’ Ted Cruz had the Governor of Wisconsin, many conservative talk radio show hosts, and the entire party apparatus behind him. Not only was he propelled by the anti-Trump Super PAC’s spending countless millions of dollars on false advertising against Mr. Trump, but he was coordinating with his own Super PAC’s (which is illegal) who totally control him. Ted Cruz is worse than a puppet— he is a Trojan horse, being used by the party bosses attempting to steal the nomination from Mr. Trump.”

But the good news for Trump and his supporters is that the primary race now moves into much friendlier territory in eastern states that appear ready to lift Trump, if not all the way to the nomination, then to a dominant delegate lead heading into the Republican convention in July that will be difficult for the party to reverse through a “contested convention.”

Trump’s rallies in New York so far have been much more characteristic of what Trump and his supporters have come to expect, such as the rally he held at an airplane hangar in Rochester, New York, on Sunday. View a full replay of that rally in the video below.

A new Fox News poll released on Sunday showed Trump maintaining a seemingly insurmountable lead in New York state, beating second-place John Kasich by 32 percentage points with nine days remaining before the New York Republican primary. Trump tops Ted Cruz by 37 points in the Fox News poll.

In a polling average compiled by the site Real Clear Politics, Trump holds a 32.5-point lead over Kasich and a 34.7-point margin over Cruz.

If those results hold up, Trump will be in line to automatically capture 14 of the state’s 95 delegates, and most likely the majority of the remaining 81 delegates as well, which are distributed by the results in each of New York’s 27 congressional districts.

Each district offers three delegates, and a candidate who wins more than 50 percent of the vote in a district collects all three delegates.

Trump will be looking to add as many as possible to his current total of 758, 229 more than Ted Cruz, as he pushes upward toward the required 1,237 needed to avoid a contested convention scenario, in which the convention will be thrown open and delegates will be allowed to vote for anyone they choose.

If Donald Trump fails to make it all the way to 1,237, a contested convention could nominate Ted Cruz, or John Kasich or even a candidate not even in the race, such as House Speaker Paul Ryan, whose name has often been mentioned as a possible last-minute candidate coming out of the convention.
