Cameron Diaz Spills Marriage Secrets, But What About That Baby Bump?

Cameron Diaz has been with Benji Madden since 2014, yet she has managed to keep her heated romance with the Good Charlotte singer largely a secret. Fortunately for fans, Diaz has finally opened up about her secret love life. The only mystery remaining is whether or not Diaz is getting ready to have a child.

According to Radar Online, Diaz is currently putting her acting career on hold in order to start a family. Although the actress is starting to get up in age, she still has an opportunity to be a mother, though that window is continuing to shrink.

“I’m aware that over the next decade or so, my own menopause transition will begin,” Diaz shared. “I am becoming more curious about how I will feel, both mentally and physically, when this new phase of life begins.”

Although a pregnancy hasn’t been confirmed, Diaz and Madden were recently spotted out and about on a group date with Nicole Richie and her husband, Joel Madden, who also happens to be Benji’s twin brother.

According to OK Magazine, the group shared an evening together at The Line Hotel this past weekend. Diaz was spotted wearing dark clothes and a long jacket, which naturally led some fans to speculate that she was covering up a baby bump. Although the photos are not concrete evidence of a pregnancy, it would not be surprising given how Diaz and Madden are currently trying to have a baby.

Diaz started dating Madden back in 2014. Following a short engagement period, the two love birds married in 2015. According to People, the two exchanged vows in a private ceremony that took place inside their home. In speaking with Andy Cohen during a recent radio interview, Diaz opened up about her marriage and explained how she has finally found true love.

“I was always like, ‘What does that mean … what does that mean?’ Then I was like ‘Oh, I get it, you just know when you know, like you’re my husband,” she said.

Cameron Diaz was first introduced to Madden through Richie, who is married to Benji’s brother. From the first time they met, Diaz was instantly attracted to her future husband, though they didn’t actually get together until a year later.

“The first thing I saw when I first met my husband, I was like he’s hot!” Diaz explained. “We had just never been in the same circle, then I saw him like a year later, I saw him again, and I was like wait a second, still hot.”

Speaking of her close friends, Pop Sugar is reporting that Diaz puts a lot of faith in those closest to her. In fact, the actress revealed that she relies on her friends, like Richie and Drew Barrymore, in order to find purpose in her life.

As far as discovering new purpose is concerned, Diaz has venture out beyond her acting career and into the world of writing as of late. In fact, Diaz is currently on tour promoting the release of her new book, titled Longevity. In the book, Diaz really opened up about how she and her husband spend their time together. Naturally, their lives away from the spotlight include a healthy dose of music.

“My husband is a musician, and he has an amazing collection of guitars that adorn our home. I get to listen to him as he strums on them, working on new songs or just playing for pleasure,” Diaz wrote. “It soothes me and keeps us both company.”

With Diaz currently busy promoting her new book, fans can expect more revelations about her personal life to come. Whether or not this includes any baby news is yet to be seen.
