Forget ‘Dancing With The Stars,’ Ryan Lochte Could Be Next ‘Bachelor’
Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte alaready boasts endorsement deals with Speedo, Gatorade, Ralph Lauren, and Gillette, but he could also show up on the TV for an entirely different reason, as his sports agent, Erika Wright, announced that the US swimmer has received multiple TV offers, including ones from two different reality shows.
Lochte spoke a few days ago about how he would be willing to appear on “Dancing With the Stars,” and that he is planning a move to Los Angeles after the London Olympics to pursue a career out of the pool, reports The Huffington Post.
Amy Rosenblum, who runs the media training company Media Masters, believes that Lochte would be better suited as the next “Bachelor.” Rosenblum explained:
“Ryan would make the perfect next ‘Bachelor’. He has the ‘it’ factor. Especially after his mother’s one-night-stand comment, everyone wants to know who is the real Ryan and what would it be like to date him. Forget dancing shows — this guy should be doing dating shows, for sure.”
Roberto Martinez, the last “Bachelorette” runner-up, turned down an offer by ABC to be the next “Bachelor,” so that he could pursue love off-screen, opening up the position for someone like Lochte to take his place in the new season. Casting director Jimmy Floyd with Semisweet Productions agrees that Ryan Lochte would be a good “Bachelor,” stating:
“Ryan would make a great Bachelor. He has it all: charm, looks and everyone in America already knows him.”
The Examiner’s Stacy Carey notes that Lochte’s rep would not disclose which TV shows have approached them. Wright stated:
“I cannot tell you the exact shows, but two different reality show concepts have been offered and one additional is being discussed.”
Would you like to see Ryan Lochte on “The Bachelor?” What about “Dancing With the Stars?”
