Kesha Posts Makeup-Free Selfie: ‘I Would Rather Let The Truth Ruin My Career Than Lie For A Monster’
Kesha has revealed that she was offered her freedom in exchange for withdrawing her accusations of rape against her producer Dr. Luke, according to CNN. The “Tik Tok” singer has had her hands full battling the producer in court ever since she sued him in October 2014.

Kesha accused Dr. Luke, whose real name is Lukasz Gottwald, of drugging and then raping her when she was 18. But it appears that Kesha has already been offered her freedom if she were to lie, the singer revealed in an Instagram post last Sunday.
Kesha posted an Instagram photo of herself with no makeup, writing in the capture that she had been offered freedom in exchange for public apologies and for saying she had never been raped by the producer.
“THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS behind closed doors. I will not take back the TRUTH. I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again.”
However, a spokesperson for the producer has responded to the allegations saying that Kesha’s statement is nothing but a “publicity stunt,” according to The Guardian. Dr. Luke’s spokesperson denied all the allegations and insisted that the 29-year-old singer is looking for “personal enrichment.”
Dr. Luke has repeatedly denied Kesha’s allegations and had kept silent about it until February when he posted a series of tweets on Twitter, in which he claimed that he didn’t rape the “Tik Tok” singer and that he had never had sex with her.
I didn’t rape Kesha and I have never had sex with her. Kesha and I were friends for many years and she was like my little sister.

Kesha signed the contract with the producer in 2005. In February this year, a judge refused to free the singer from the contract with Dr. Luke in order to be able to record music outside the contract.
Kesha’s fans and a number of high-profile celebrities, including Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift, have been supporting the singer after the court ruling that said the singer had to record six more albums with Dr. Luke before terminating the contract. Swift even donated $250,000 to Kesha, but was later criticized by fellow music artist Demi Lovato.

In March, Kesha went on stage at the Human Rights Campaign 2016 to thank her fans and fellow celebrities for the support in her legal battle against Dr. Luke. The 29-year-old singer was awarded the visibility award for her support of the LGBT community, so Kesha took the opportunity to thank her fans and fellow music artists while accepting the award. The singer revealed on stage that she was going through some “really intense” personal things, hinting at her court battle against the producer, and adding that fame is “strange and unnatural but I’m grateful for it.”
Kesha also admitted she was a “misfit” in her teen years, adding that we all have to fight for what is right, even though it often happens that “the cards are stacked against us.” But that’s the only way people can make advances in their lives, she added.
Last week, Kesha posted a photo of herself in a bikini while staying at L’Horizon Resort and Spa in Palm Springs, California, according to USA Today. Her mini vacation comes a little more than a month before her next court hearing scheduled for May 16.
Kesha captioned the Instagram photo of herself in a bikini lying in a pool, saying that she is “not a slave to perfection” right now, slamming body shamers to get away from her as “ain’t nobody got time for it.”
