Fallout 4 Update: Forza Mortorsport Partners With Bethesda Game, Chryslus ’69 Now Available on Fallout 4!
Bethesda just rolled out an exciting new update for Fallout 4. Last week, the Forza Motorsport 6 car Chryslus Rocket ’69 was made available in the Xbox game. Now Xbox One users can gain access to this new sports car.
The Chryslus Rocket ’69 update has been rolled out to all Xbox One owners, and they were delivered via the Xbox Live messages.
However, to get full access to the new Chryslus Rocket ’69, Xbox owners “must have played Fallout 4 or Forza Motorsport 6 while connected to your Xbox Live profile by April 30 in order to unlock the Rocket ’69,” according to Bethesda.
The game developers also added that the codes might take 7 days to arrive since they are sending out millions of codes every day.
Adding Special Car Features on Fallout 4
Since 2015, Bethesda has been improving the Fallout 4 user experience by integrating more and more cars from Forza Motorsport 6. They also did an exchange feature on Forza Motorsport 6 by adding Fallout 4 themed cars.
One of the two cars rolled out on Forza Motorsport 6 last year was the 1956 Ford F100 which was styled after the Fallout franchise, according to Gamerant.
The truck’s design consists of a rusted version of Vault-Tec’s iconic blue and yellow color scheme and features the company’s mascot Vault Boy on the doors. According to developers Turn 10, the “retro-futuristic Vault-Tec themed Fallout 4 F100 will be sent to all Forza 6 players in celebration of the game’s launch.”
With the many integrations for Fallout 4 and Forza Motorsport 6, Bethesda might be trying to link their games into this one big system of connected gameplays. Comparatively, they might be making their own “Bethesda Universe.”
The connection of the Forza Motorsport 6 and Fallout 4 games is a bonus for avid fans.
“As part of the partnership, players of Fallout 4 on Xbox One will receive the Chryslus Rocket 69, a fictional car from the Fallout universe, which will be made available in Forza Motorsport 6 in 2016,” wrote Sleestak714, a user in the Fortza Motorsport Forum.
Meanwhile, other players are skeptic of the bonus car. According to them, both games are expensive. With Forza Motorsport 6 and Fallout 4 sold at $59.99 each, gamers are thinking this should be an open trade for everyone. However, some think that this DLC should only be available for Prime members.
Nonetheless, Bethesda did not announce anything regarding the price. For now, the Chryslus Rocket ’69 for all users who have played either game “while connected to your Xbox Live profile.” The only caveat that Bethesda noted was that they are only giving it out for free until April 30.
Xbox Promotion by Bethesda
Because of the special promotion, people are saying Bethesda is directly promoting Microsoft’s Xbox One console. According to Bold Ride, they have played both games outside the Xbox hemisphere and they were superb.
As someone who doesn’t own an Xbox at the moment, but has played countless hours of both Forza Motorsport 6 and Fallout 4, I can’t recommend them enough. Both games have infinite playability thanks to DLC packs like this one, and exceptional foundations to build upon. Maybe it’s finally time to give in and get an Xbox; after all, a Gran Turismo 7/Uncharted 4 DLC pack is about as likely as Gran Turismo 7 actually arriving on time. Sony, you’re no fun.
This crossover might even help boost Xbox One’s promotion in the long run.
