WWE Rumors: Hulk Hogan Returning To WWE – ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin Gives His Thoughts

After the situation with Hulk Hogan came about last year, it was believed that he might never show his face in WWE again. The trial with Gawker ended, though, pending appeal, and Hogan received a lot of money in it. Now, though, one may think that enough time has passed for the wrestling legend to return to WWE and work with them again. Will it happen, though? Both Hogan and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin have given their thoughts on if a reunion is coming.

The sex-tape situation and the racial remarks from Hogan that were revealed because of it caused a lot of issues. WWE cut all ties with the Hulkster and essentially erased him from the promotion’s history for quite some time.

It’s getting close to a year since that all took place, and the Gawker trial just recently ended with Hogan being awarded a total of $140 million, Yes, the website is appealing, but the original ruling means that things can be somewhat put behind everyone and others can move.

Hulk Hogan recently spoke with Sports Illustrated about a number of topics, including a possible return to WWE. He knows that WWE is not going to let anything hurt it as a brand, and they will do everything to protect it.

“These big shows come off once in a while. The last one like this was ‘WrestleMania III,’ and that was thirty years ago. It was amazing to see how strong the WWE is, and see the following. It is mind-boggling to see a monster crowd that big. It was just a huge success, and shows you how strong and powerful the brand is when you see that building full with all that energy.”

That goes to show you Hogan realizes why WWE parted ways with him last year, even if he has said that things were taken out of context. Still, it happened, and it has been a long process, and now the two sides are moving forward.

Does that mean that Hulk Hogan is returning to WWE and possibly wrestling at WrestleMania 33 though?

“Never say never.”

Hulk Hogan returning to WWE is something that could very well be possible as many have had some rough times with the company and returned. If Eric Bischoff could show up on Monday Night Raw and Bret “Hit Man” Hart could show his face on WWE television again, then anything is and could be possible.

At WrestleMania XXX, Hogan was a part of the opening segment that included two other legends and was a big hit. Stone Cold Steve Austin has an opinion on what Hogan needs to do it he really does want back with the company.

Austin called into TMZ Live and talked about a lot of things, and one of them was Hulk Hogan. The Rattlesnake talked about a possible WWE return for Hogan and what it would take for that to actually be successful.

“Hulk Hogan’s had a tremendous run. He got into, y’know, some issues… Maybe in time when all that washes away he’ll make a comeback. He’s the one who’s gotta weather the storm, you know, since it is a public company now. How soon or how long does it take for something like that to be forgotten, let alone just forgiven? You can never forget it, but can you forgive it? Yes. We’ll see what happens. I’ll leave that to them.”

Hulk Hogan and WWE have had a very long relationship, and it’s hard to think that it is completely over considering the way it ended. Stone Cold Steve Austin thinks that there is a chance, as bridges were broken, but not burned. WrestleMania 33 in Orlando is a year away, and that’s a lot of time for a relationship to be mended.
