Katie Homes Steps Out Without Her ‘Engagement Ring’ From Jamie Foxx, Trying To Squash Wedding/Pregnancy Rumors?

Katie Holmes’ relationship with Jamie Foxx was thought to have reached the next level after multiple rumors of an engagement and pregnancy surfaced. However, the actress recently made a few public appearances without her supposed engagement ring. Is she trying to squash the rumors surrounding her relationship with Foxx?

Many suspected that Holmes and Foxx were engaged after both stars were spotted wearing matching wedding bands. However, the Daily Mail is reporting that Holmes was recently seen shopping in Agoura Hills, California, without a ring on her left hand.

In the photographs released by the outlet, Holmes is featured wearing a pair of slim-fitting jeans and a light-colored sweater. The actress completed her casual look with a pair of sunglasses.

To add even more into the mix, Holmes went out again later in the evening with a completely different outfit. Holmes wore a T-shirt and sweatpants as she made her way to a restaurant in the area. However, the actress was once again without her engagement ring.

According to the International Business Times, rumors of an engagement between Holmes and Foxx really picked up after they were photographed wearing what appeared to be matching rings. In fact, reports circulated that the two had actually exchanged vows already in a “super-secret ceremony.” The only reason why the two hadn’t announced anything was because of how Holmes’ ex-husband, Tom Cruise, might react.

Meanwhile, Holmes has made a few public appearances as of late despite all of the rumors surrounding her and Foxx. According to Just Jared, Holmes recently took her daughter, Suri, 9, to a college basketball game during the March Madness tournament.

In celebration of the outing, Holmes shared an image of her posing with her daughter on Instagram.

“We are sold out!!!!!” Holmes wrote alongside the image. “Thank you to you all who purchased tickets!!!!”

So far, neither Foxx nor Holmes has confirmed that they are dating each other, let alone engaged and ready to marry. That being said, Holmes might have a good reason to stick with Foxx.

According to MStars News, Holmes has a few ulterior motives for dating Foxx. Apparently, Holmes might be using her relationship with Foxx as a means to further her acting career, which has been on the downturn as of late.

“Holmes has no problem with the industry attention she’s getting from the talk surrounding herself and Foxx,” an inside source told the outlet. “Since they’ve started hooking up he’s introduced her to so many big producers and power players, it’s a massive turn-on to her and something she’s taken full advantage of.”

Holmes’ last movie project was the 2015 film Touched with Fire. While she is struggling to get her career back up and running, Foxx recently enjoyed major success with his latest album, Hollywood: A Story of a Dozen Roses. The album, which made it all the way to the top of the R&B and Hip-Hop charts, has opened up doors for Holmes.

“Suddenly the script offers are flooding in and she’s one of the most popular faces in town,” the source added.

Despite all of the reports surrounding their relationship, reps for both Foxx and Holmes have denied that the two are together. Considering how they haven’t stepped out into the public together for quite some time, the recent photos of Holmes without a ring might be proof that they aren’t engaged. Of course, they might be keeping everything a secret to avoid a confrontation with Cruise, although that seems less likely as the months continue to pass.
