Ben Higgins And Lauren Bushnell Try To Slam Split Rumors, Is He Really Over JoJo Fletcher?

Despite rumors of a coming split, Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell are still together. Based on recent public outings, not only are The Bachelor stars still engaged, but they appear stronger than ever. Does this mean that Higgins is truly over his love for JoJo Fletcher?

According to ET Online, Higgins and Bushnell have officially spent their first week together in Denver away from the limelight. Although rumors circulated that Bushnell and Higgins were having difficulties adjusting to their new life together, the two went on a series of dates over this past week that contradict the break-up speculation.

For starters, the couple went on their first date ever in Denver over the weekend, though it didn’t exactly go as planned. In fact, in a post to Instagram, the two shared a funny video explaining how Higgins got trapped in an elevator and how a firefighter came to his rescue.

“Traumatizing! I’ll never forget our first Denver date. @LaurenBushnell3 keeps laughing…” Higgins wrote on Twitter after the incident.

Aside from the elevator scare, Higgins and Bushnell also went on a date with a few of The Bachelor star’s friends from the area. After the outing, one of Higgins’ friends uploaded a photo of the group together on Instagram, and based on all appearances, Bushnell fit right in with her newfound crew.

“Fine…I guess you can be part of our crew, @lauren_bushnell,” the photo was captioned. “Great evening supporting @accessopportunity and our friends at @bardoughden!”

At the same time, the two also spent some time at a cooking class were Ben Higgins learned how to cook mushrooms. Higgins uploaded an image of him and Bushnell at the class on Instagram, with the caption: “Found out through cooking school how to make a shroom perfectly golden brown today with my golden gal @lauren_bushnell.”

An eyewitness at the cooking class told ET that Higgins and Bushnell were “upbeat and positive kind people,” and how they were both “very lovely.” Apparently, Higgins and Bushnell looked and acted like a couple very much in love.

“They are both so in love with each other and will definitely be one of the few couples to make it from the show.”

Their social media activity didn’t stop there. In fact, Wet Paint is reporting that the two lovebirds went on to share a few Snapchat images of them cuddling together at their new home. Later, the two uploaded a picture of themselves posing with a baby that belonged to one of Bushnell’s friends.

Based on all of the public outings, it appears as though Higgins and Bushnell are getting along just fine. However, does that mean that Higgins has really gotten over his deep feelings for his Bachelor runner-up, JoJo Fletcher?

As fans will recall, Higgins told Fletcher that he loved her just prior to giving his final rose to Bushnell. After Bushnell found out about the exchange, Extra TV is reporting that things got a little strained between Higgins and his wife-to-be.

“Their relationship is extremely tense right now,” an inside source explained. “Lauren tries not to think about it, but she’s traumatized that Ben told another girl he loved her. Everyone around them can feel the awkwardness. It’s unclear if they’ll last. Things between them are getting worse.”

Although the reported awkwardness between Higgins and Bushnell has not cropped up in their public outings, it is unknown what is going on behind the scenes. That being said, their social media activity indicates they are trying their best to move on with their lives together, despite everything that happened between Higgins and Fletcher.
