Kristen Stewart Opts Out Of London Premiere, Too Embarrassed To Appear In Public
Kristen Stewart has removed herself from the On the Road movie premiere in London because she is reportedly too embarrassed to appear in public due to the ongoing Robert Pattinson-Rupert Sanders cheating scandal.
The Twilight actress was scheduled to stroll down the red carpet to help promote the film adaptation of Jack Kerouac’s On The Road novel on August 16. Kristen Stewart’s British co-star Tom Sturridge is a close buddy of ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson, Radar Online reports. The Snow White and the Huntsman star also remarked that she wanted to avoid the awkwardness that her appearance at the On the Road London premiere would bring.
Kristen Stewart is an avid fan of Kerouac’s work and did not want attention at the London premiere to be focused on her on the sex scandal but to remain on the movie, of which she is very proud. A Radar Online source claims Kristen Stewart is simply too embarrassed by her recent romantic behavior to attend the On the Road premiere in London.
“After everything that has been said, and in light of the revelations that she cheated on Robert with director Rupert Sanders, she’s running scare at the moment,” the Radar Online source claims. “She wants her performance and this film to be recognized for what it is, a great adaptation of a classic book.”
Kristen Stewart may be keeping out of the reach of the paparazzi by skipping the On the Road premiere, but ex-boyfriend Robert Pattinson will be facing the public to promote his new flick, Cosmopolis. Pattinson will appear on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on August 13 and then on Good Morning America two days later before the New York City premiere of Cosmopolis on August 16.
