Emilia Clarke Gets Candid About Dating Seth MacFarlane

Emilia Clarke, the Game of Thrones actress, finally opened up about her relationship with funny man Seth MacFarlane. The actress and the Family Guy creator went out three years ago, and now, Clarke is ready to talk about the relationship.

MacFarlane came up in an interview with Glamour. During the interview, Emilia said that there were drawbacks to dating someone in the public eye, like Seth. One thing she didn’t anticipate happening is having public opinion about her relationship to MacFarlane.

“Well, a con is you have strangers giving you love-life advice like, ‘I’m a big fan of the show, and I’m not sure what you’re doing with that guy,’ which I didn’t react well to. That happened in New York when Seth and I were together. This guy started to give me advice: ‘Can I get a selfie? And by the way…’ Unh-unh, bro.”

That said, Emilia and Seth only lasted for a year. According to a source who spoke with E!, distance was the major reason behind the split. At the time they were dating in 2012, she never confirmed the news publicly, and now we know why.

As for who she’s dating now, Clarke says no one just yet. “I’m just chilling. I’ve got a good thing going.”

Another shock to some fans is that she and singer Drake have something in common. As pointed out by the Glamour reporter, Clarke and Drake share the same tattoo artist.

“Amazing! He gave me a bumblebee [on my pinkie finger]. Up next is a dragon—obviously a metaphorical dragon, a single-line drawing or something. I’m not getting a cartoon dragon on my t–s!”

As far as her support system goes, Clarke said that her group of people brings her back down to earth.

“My family. My drama school friends—some of them aren’t acting anymore. The gorgeous thing about having friends who aren’t in the entertainment world is they’re like, ‘You’re letting important moments pass you by. Don’t be cool about it.’ Like, we’re at a Hollywood party, whatever. Stop. Appreciate this.”

Aside from just “chilling,” Clarke was rumored to be dating co-star Kit Harrington back in 2015, but no one confirmed those rumors, and it looks like Harrington recently moved on to his former co-star Rose Leslie. It seems like Emilia is a good sport about some of these rumors.

Harrington and Leslie made it official by attending the Olivier Awards in London. The two were all smiles as they walked hand in hand on the red carpet. For those that aren’t in the know, the two played lovers on the hit HBO show. Their romance rumors ran rampant in 2012, but seemed to fizzle out shortly after, but it looks like they’re back on track.

As for Clarke, the star was rumored to be engaged to actor James Franco after an extremely short courtship. Of that particular rumor, Clarke laughed it off with Your Tango, “He is, of course, beautiful but I feel there’s only a handful of women who could form an engagement after two meetings, and I’m not one of them.”

Even though she’s single, we bet Clarke could pick anyone she likes to date. A while back, the actress got the attention of Jared Leto while at the SAG awards. At the time, Leto was enamored by Clarke and turned to the E! cameras and said, “Have you looked into her eyes? They’re absolutely insane!”
