Kourtney Kardashian, her new baby Penelope, and her two-year-old son Mason posed together on the cover of this week’s Us Weekly.
The photo, according to Hollywood.com, is Penelope’s media debut.
Last month, rumors circulated that Kourtney was having a hard time selling the rights for the first baby photos of Penelope.
An editor told the Huffington Post:
” ‘It’s been a long time since paying to secure exclusive images of a celebrity baby guaranteed huge sales … Kourtney’s second child isn’t such a big deal. She will be lucky if she gets $20,000 to $30,000 for the pictures,’ one editor tells me. ‘The Kardashian craze has been over for some time now. Now a picture of Tom and Katie is worth more.’ “
There’s no word on what Kardashian was paid for the photos but she was able to secure a spot on the cover of Us Weekly rather quickly. The little girl, who was born on July 8th, is exactly one month old today.
In the new issue of Us Weekly, Kourtney, 33, and her husband Scott Disick, 29, open up about their second child.
Kourtney said, “Nothing could prepare me for how hard I fell in love with her.”
Before the birth of Penelope, Kourtney talked with Jay Leno about whether or not she would show the birth on her reality show.
Kourtney said:
“I don’t know. We’re gonna film it again ourselves, and honestly, my experience last time was so peaceful and calm and everything you don’t see in the movies. And I really wanted to share that with people so they knew it doesn’t have to be a crazy screaming session.”
