Christina Aguilera may be busy at work on two shows, the currently airing 10th season of The Voice and her upcoming Spike TV series, Tracks , but when it comes to family, Christina Aguilera is determined to be an active mom to her two kids.
“They are the center of my universe,” Christina Aguilera explained to People Magazine last year.
In addition to her 8-year-old son, Max Liron, with her ex-husband Jordan Bratman, Christina Aguilera is mom to 1-year-old Summer Rain.
“It’s definitely not easy juggling work and motherhood, as being a parent is a full-time job within itself,” Christina Aguilera continued. “You just have to make it work for you. My life has so many different moving parts, but my kids are the center focal piece, and everything else shifts around them.”
The magazine also claimed at the time that Christina Aguilera was working on a series with ABC Family, now known as Freeform, and although it is unclear whether or not the unnamed show ever came to be, or will come to be, it’s safe to say she’s got a lot going on. And admittedly, Christina Aguilera struggles with guilt.
“It’s hard to know you won’t have all the right answers at the right times. And ‘mom guilt’ is the worst thing ever,” Christina Aguilera explained. “But you have to surrender and let go, knowing you’re doing your very best and no one loves them, or wants what’s best for them more than you.”

Christina Aguilera married Bratman in 2005 and separated in September, 2010, just months before her relationship with Rutler was reported. Then, in April, 2011, Christina Aguilera’s divorce was finalized, and her relationship with Rutler continued.
While Christina Aguilera has been engaged to Rutler for over a year (he proposed on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2014) she and Rutler have yet to confirm a wedding date, and in February of last year, she didn’t seem to be in much of a hurry.
“Having just moved into a beautiful new home we call ‘the Sanctuary,’ having a baby, and now being excited to get back to work, I have my hands full and am not in a rush to set a date,” Christina Aguilera explained to E! News . “I want to plan it and cherish the moment, while not feeling rushed. So when the schedule is more clear and I can take some downtime again, I can focus on that. Our love is secure enough that we don’t need a wedding to prove our love and commitment.”
Christina Aguilera also added, “We are enjoying our daughter, our family and our work for now.”
As for Christina Aguilera and Rutler’s new series, it is expected to air on Spike TV sometime later this year.
