Ben Higgins And Lauren Bushnell Headed For A Split? ‘The Bachelor’ Star Can’t Get Over His Feelings For JoJo Fletcher
Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell have been spending more time together following the end of The Bachelor. Although they are currently engaged and expected to exchange vows in the coming year, their relationship has come under question. Are Higgins’ past feelings for JoJo Fletcher coming between his love for Bushnell?
According to Hollywood Life, the main issue between Higgins and his fiancé centers on his actions during the past season of The Bachelor. As fans will recall, Higgins created controversy when he told the final two contestants that he loved them both. Naturally, Bushnell has had a difficult time digesting this fact and has started to question whether or not Higgins has fully gotten over his feelings for Fletcher.
Although Bushnell has tried to move past her future husband’s love for Fletcher, the issue has started to weigh down on their relationship.
“Lauren tries not to think about it. But she’s traumatized that Ben told another girl he loved her,” an inside source revealed. “Everyone around them can feel the awkwardness. It’s unclear if they will last. Things between them are getting worse.”
Following the end of The Bachelor, Higgins and Bushnell went on a countrywide tour celebrating their new engagement. This included stops in New York City as well as a visit to Higgins’ hometown in Indiana, where Bushnell spent some time with his family.
Now that the tour is over, OK! Magazine is reporting that the couple is preparing to move to Denver to start their new life together. While Higgins will undoubtedly be comfortable in his home in Denver, the move is a big one for Bushnell, who is picking up her life and starting over in a new environment.
Coupled with their problems with Higgins’ feelings for Fletcher, the new move is proving particularly difficult for Bushnell. In fact, a source explained to the outlet how Higgins has a lot of work cut out for him if wants Bushnell to feel like Denver is her home.
“It’s his place, not theirs,” the insider shared. “If he doesn’t make it feel like home for her, they won’t make it.”
According to Extra TV, Higgins and Bushnell were recently spotted in Denver celebrating the Easter holiday. While they planned on going out on the town for a special date together, their plans were derailed after an elevator broke down and trapped Higgins inside.
Fortunately, a firefighter quickly came to the rescue and helped Higgins out of the elevator. In speaking about the unfortunate turn of events, Higgins joked about the incident in a Snapchat video while Bushnell laughed in the background.
“Date night one. I’m okay. Got stuck in an elevator on floor 2 in a parking garage,” Higgins stated.
At this point, it isn’t clear if Ben Higgins and Bushnell will get over their complicated issues and remain together. Whatever ends up happening between the two, it is clear that Fletcher has moved on with her life and is preparing for her own time in the limelight.
According to Life & Style, Fletcher is currently gearing up for the upcoming season of The Bachelorette. Filming has already started for the new season, and Fletcher is making the most of her second chance at finding true love.
While fans have to wait another month for the release of the new season, series creator Mike Fleiss has shared a few spoilers on social media. In particular, Fleiss recently revealed that some of the men are trying a little too hard to win over Fletcher’s heart.
“Wild group of dude’s. Some great ones for sure,” Fleiss wrote on Twitter. “Some seem to be a little too into JoJo. #clinger”
Fans can watch Fletcher’s return to reality TV when The Bachelorette airs May 23 on ABC.
