Brad Pitt Gets Maddox A Motorbike For His Birthday
Brad Pitt is apparently a pretty awesome dad. For his son Maddox’s 11th birthday, the 12 Monkeys co-star revealed a gift the boy won’t soon forget: a brand new motorbike. And not just any motorbike, either. Pitt and wife-to-be Angelina Jolie’s eldest child will soon be buzzing around on a Suzuki DRZ-125, which can reach speeds of 50 miles per hour. What’s even more impressive is that Pitt purchased the gift from a dealership in Ruislip, Germany.
“He wants the boys to be able to ride them on private land,” one source explained to E! News. “It’ll be a fun thing for them to do, and obviously he has a real passion for bikes which he’d like to pass on.”
Regarding the motorbike, another source told US Weekly that Maddox’s parents were initially hesitant to purchase such a gift for their 11-year-old son. “He wasn’t sure of the safety and wanted to think about it,” the individual explained. “It’s a great bike for a kid to have as his first — it’s a junior dirt bike, so very safe, low powered but still very fun.”
Maddox is certainly no stranger to danger. The youngster was spotted tooling around with his parents on a motorcycle when he was just four. More recently, the birthday boy joined his mom for a flying lesson in Hampshire, England last September. From where I’m seated, a Suzuki that tops out at 50 miles-per-hour sounds like the perfect gift for the kid.
This fall, Pitt will return to the big screen in director Andrew Dominik’s Killing Them Softly, which, according to IMDb, follows the adventures of a “professional enforcer who investigates a heist that went down during a mob-protected poker game.” The film, which also stars Ray Liotta, James Gandolfini, Richard Jenkins, and Sam Shepard, opens on October 12.
