Why Cynthia Bailey Stays Out Of Gay Rumor Gossip About Kim Fields’ Husband

Cynthia Bailey has wrapped up another season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and this one was a tough season for Cynthia. She learned that her husband, Peter Thomas, had been caught in a compromising video, where he was grabbing another woman in his bar. Bailey felt that he was crossing the line, and she learned about the video along with the rest of the world. Bailey has been on the receiving end of harsh and hurtful rumors, so it makes sense that she isn’t getting involved with this season’s marital rumors.

According to a new Bravo report, Cynthia Bailey is now revealing that she doesn’t think it’s good for her to share her opinion about Kim Fields’ gossip drama. Throughout the season, Kenya Moore and Phaedra Parks brought up rumors that Christopher Morgan had an interest in men. While he and Kim have both denied the gay rumors, Cynthia doesn’t want to share her thoughts on the issue.

“I just think putting out there the possibility that he could be gay, I just didn’t think that was cool. Kenya is one of my closest friends, but I didn’t think that was a good thing to do,” Cynthia Bailey revealed to Bravo in New York, adding, “I feel that way because I think, unless you have real facts to back stuff up, rumors can be really hurtful, and they live on.”

And it sounds like Cynthia Bailey can relate to some of the rumors, as she has been on the receiving end. Porsha Williams has often said that Peter Thomas had been flirting with other women, and she claims that she has proof that he has cheated. Bailey knows how hurtful those comments are, so she doesn’t even want to question Fields’ marriage and her husband’s life choices.

“I’ve been on the other side, and I know what it’s like to have my husband talked about constantly with no real facts to validate anything that’s been said either,” Bailey revealed about the situation, explaining that she knows exactly what her co-star is going through.

While many of the Real Housewives of Atlanta have shared their thoughts about the gay rumors, it sounds like Bailey isn’t exactly thrilled about sharing her thoughts and picking a side. Some of the ladies are very much under the belief that Christopher is indeed gay, while others think that they are just hurtful rumors and accusations. Rather than giving her stance, Cynthia explains that she likes to be neutral and stand in the middle.

“I didn’t feel a need to pick a side, per se. The great thing about this group is everyone’s grown and everyone has their moments where they have to handle themselves. That’s kind of what this group is all about,” Cynthia explained, adding, “I think Kim and Chris handled themselves. I didn’t think they needed a team to do it. I think they handled themselves well.”

Of course, Bailey has been going through a rough time herself. According to Extra, she recently revealed that she and Peter are indeed going through a rough time. In the interview, Cynthia shared that she and Peter are no longer together, and they are taking some time apart. He has been spending lots of time in Charlotte, building various clubs and bars, and it sounds like he is more invested in building his hot spots than working on his marriage. Even though Thomas recently revealed that he was doing just fine on Instagram, it’s hard to imagine that his marriage is fine when his wife is saying that they are indeed not together.
