WWE News: Three Iconic Legends Shockingly Return To The Ring At ‘WrestleMania 32’
Without any doubt, WrestleMania 32 is only halfway through, and there have already been some unforgettable moments. One of the greatest happened right after the Battle for Tag Team Supremacy between The New Day and the League of Nations. As the League gloated over their non-title win, three WWE legends returned to a huge ovation. Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin not only came out, but they taught the League a thing or two about the Attitude Era.
As recapped by WWE.com, The New Day arrived on the scene in a gigantic box of Booty-O’s and were ready for their non-title tag team match. The crowd was truly hot for the newly turned babyfaces, and they were hoping for a big win.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t a good night for the WWE Tag Team Champions who lost to the team of Alberto Del Rio, Rusev, and Sheamus. King Barrett was out there with the League of Nations, but he simply stood at ringside and cheered on his teammates. The ending came when Sheamus delivered a vicious Brogue Kick to Xavier Woods and picked up the victory. That, though, was when things really got serious.
As the League of Nations were celebrating in the ring, King Barrett took hold of a microphone and tried to speak on how great they all are. As WrestleZone reported, that was when they were interrupted by a few names from the past, and not just to talk them down either.
First, it was Shawn Michaels making his appearance in front of the home-state fans. Next up, Mick Foley walked out in his traditional flannel and sweat pants. Finally, the glass broke and the crowd went nuts as “Stone Cold” Steve Austin headed out to join them.

Austin walked around and gave a few middle fingers to the crowd on both sides of the stage. Then, he walked to the middle to join Michaels and Foley before the three legends headed straight down to the ring.
As the legends hit the ring, each paired off with a different member of the League of Nations. To help even things out, The New Day pulled a fourth member outside so the legends wouldn’t be outnumbered inside the ring.

Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, and Mick Foley cleaned house of the League of Nations and began celebrating, but they had friends there. The New Day jumped into the ring and wanted to join in on the fun.
Xavier Woods began dancing to The New Day’s theme music and tried to get the other legends to join in on it all. Woods singled out Stone Cold, who is not much of a dancer, but he eventually broke down, smiled, and started dancing.
Anyone who knows Steve Austin should know that didn’t last long.

All three members of The New Day left the ring and headed to the back while Austin, Michaels, and Foley played to the crowd. Of course, there was plenty of beer to go around as all of the fans kept cheering louder and louder as the legends stayed out there.
WrestleMania 32 has been a great night so far, and there is certainly much more to come. Still, it’s going to be hard to beat the return of “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, and Mick Foley in terms of excitement, fun, and the awesome feelings of nostalgia. Both the League of Nations and The New Day will think twice about insulting the Attitude Era ever again.
