‘House of Lies’ Season 5 Has Amazing List of Guest Stars
One of the greatest things about the hit Showtime series, House of Lies, is the guest stars that appear in each season. Well, besides the awesome cast. Don Cheadle, Kristen Bell, Josh Lawson, and Ben Schwartz may be the reason viewers tune in to watch House of Lies but the guest stars make it even more appealing.
In the past four seasons of House of Lies, fans have had fun with guest stars like Nia Long, who played Marty’s rival and lover; Adam Brody, who played one of Jeannie’s romantic interests; Bess Armstrong who played a CEO that “mentored” Jeannie; and Larenz Tate who played Marty’s brother. These are just a few of the memorable faces that viewers have seen in the past.
Season 5 of House of Lies will ramp it up even more with some guest stars that you won’t want to miss.
Wanda Sykes is one of the most popular actresses (and also a comedian) that will appear in this coming season of House of Lies. She’ll be playing Jeremiah’s new girlfriend (Marty’s father, played by Glynn Turman). You know that whenever Wanda Sykes makes an appearance on a show, hilarity is bound to follow. She has been seen most recently in the hit comedy, Blackish, where she played Daphne Lido. Sykes has also ranked in Entertainment Week’s 25 Funniest People in America, so you can be sure that she’ll bring some comedy to the future season of House of Lies.
TV Series reveals another guest star saying, “In season five, Jeannie (Bell) has a new boyfriend (guest star Ken Marino), but she may not exactly be over Marty (Cheadle) yet.” That answers our questions about whether or not Jeannie and Marty get together after the birth of their baby, at least at the beginning of the House of Lies season. Ken Marino is most known for playing Dr. Glenn Richie on the long-running series Children’s Hospital. Will his character be able to compete with Marty?
Coming Soon reveals more guest stars for the fifth season of House of Lies saying, “Additional guest stars for the fifth season include Emmy nominee Keegan-Michael Key (Key & Peele)…Emmy nominee Malcolm-Jamal Warner (Major Crimes), John Cho (Star Trek), Donald Faison (Scrubs), and Nicky Whelan (Matador, Franklin & Bash).”
Keegan-Michael Key is one half of the hit comedy duo, Key & Peele. Key and partner Jordan Peele got their start on MADtv and later developed their own show for Comedy Central. They have been nominated for various awards for their show and for their writing and won a Peabody Award from Comedy Central.
House of Lies is bound to have a great season this year. Between the awesome guest stars and all the drama that is heating up between the main characters, fans will have something to look forward to every Sunday. This season of House of Lies will also have an episode in the exotic location of Cuba, where Marty and his group go to land their most epic clients yet.
The cast actually did go to Cuba for filming of House of Lies and that makes it the first U.S. series to film in Cuba since diplomatic relations were restored last season. The scenes that take place in Cuba are sure to have some beautiful scenery and at least one or two beautiful Cuban women for Marty to seduce and enjoy!
Will you be watching House of Lies in their fifth season? It starts April 10 on Showtime. If you have a Showtime subscription you can view the first episode of House of Lies now on Showtime On Demand or Showtime Anytime or, if you don’t mind watching an edited, family-safe version you can catch it streaming on Amazon, Apple, YouTube, Hulu, Roku or PlayStation Vue.
