‘RHONY’ Stars Bethenny Frankel And Sonja Morgan Booze War, Skinnygirl Millionaire Thinks Tipsy Girl Is An ‘Insult’

There was a time when Bethenny Frankel supported her Real Housewives of New York co-star Sonja Morgan. However, their relationship changed after Morgan decided to venture out and release her own line of alcohol products, which just so happen to directly compete with Frankel’s Skinnygirl products. With the two still feuding over their business ventures, will they ever renew their friendship?

According to Radar Online, things started going south after Morgan unveiled her new brand of cocktails, Tipsy Girl. In response, Frankel quickly grabbed a trademark for the name Tipsygirl as a preemptive business move.

Frankel clearly viewed Morgan’s new brand as a threat to her own lineup of drinks, yet Morgan and her business partners remained adamant that she wasn’t trying to take away any of Frankel’s customers.

“It was surprising at first because she took out a trademark,” Morgan told the outlet. “Tipsygirl, one word, and mine is two words, so I was like, ‘Whoa! What is she doing?’ Then when I reflected, I thought, ‘Well, it’s a business move.'”

While Morgan admitted that Bethenny Frankel was frustrated with her recent business decisions, she was positive that things will work out between them in the near future. As is true with any reality show friendship, only time will tell if the drama quiets down or ramps up between the two women.

“She supports me, but at the same time, she thought that was a personal insult to her,” Morgan added. “I really want to get back to my friendship with her and the basis of us before I delve into that any further. But we’ll see.”

In addition to Frankel’s issues with Morgan, the reality star is also dealing with her prolonged divorced with Jason Hoppy. While the two are still working out the details of their split in court, Enstarz is reporting that Frankel recently scored a major win over her ex-husband.

A judge ruled in favor of Frankel regarding her payments of support to Hoppy. Frankel had previously been dishing out some $12,000 a month in support to Hoppy in addition to the $10,000 a month she paid in child support. Fortunately for Frankel, she no longer has to pay Hoppy anymore.

“Of course, Jason was not so happy with the decision to deny him temporary support and agreed with the judge who would not go along with the other judges,” a source explained to In Touch Weekly.

Meanwhile, fans are currently preparing for the premiere of the new season of The Real Housewives of New York. The drama is expected to pick up right where it left off at the end of last season, although Frankel is facing some new challenges this time around.

In fact, Frankel is battling a mysterious illness when the show returns to television. How serious is Frankel’s ailment? Despite all the hoopla presented in the promo materials, it appears as though Frankel might not be as sick as previously thought.

“Women, once they get older, they do have a lot of health issues — and fibroids are a very common thing,” Ramona Singer revealed to Radar Online. “She’s basically a healthy woman, and things with medicine today, everything will be worked out for her.”

At the same time, an inside source told In Touch Weekly that Frankel underwent an operation as a preventative measure. Doctors were worried that if her fibroids were not taken out, then there was a chance she could develop cancer down the road.

Fans can watch the drama unfold between Frankel and Morgan when the new season of The Real Housewives of New York premieres April 6 on Bravo.
