Erika Christensen Is Pregnant! ‘Parenthood’ Actress Debuts Baby Bump At The Red Carpet For HBO Film ‘Confirmation’
33-year-old Erika Christensen attended the Hollywood premiere of the HBO movie Confirmation Thursday night at the Paramount Theater, where she publicly revealed that she is pregnant. Christensen’s baby bump was on full display as she wore a form-fitting gown and smiled for the cameras, Just Jared reports, and no, this isn’t an April Fool’s joke, thankfully.
“She’ll make her first appearance tomorrow at #Confirmation,” Christensen tweeted, revealing that she is pregnant with a girl and is seven months along. If they’ve already chosen a name for their daughter, they appear to be keeping it to themselves.

Speaking with ET‘s Nischelle Turner at the red carpet premiere, Erika Christensen talked about how she is keeping fit during her pregnancy and how her body is changing, in her final trimester.
“It’s a really fun accessory,” Christensen said. “I thought it was an automatic thing, you just lost control of your body, like, the pregnancy just took over. That didn’t happen. I was like, well, I’m not going to be running, that seems rude. So, I’m keeping fit by doing elliptical and walking. I just felt like continuing my lifestyle.”
Erika Christensen and Cole Maness officially got married in September of 2015, in a ranch ceremony, after being engaged since November, 2014. Erika happily took to Instagram to let all of her followers know of her engagement, captioning picture of the two sharing a romantic kiss against the backdrop of a beautiful snowy mountain. Maness and Christensen have shared photos of several fun moments they have had together, though they have rarely talked about their relationship publicly. The two were married over Labor Day weekend, which as it turns out, has been a pretty popular weekend to tie the knot for many celebrity couples — including Ashlee Simpson and Evan Ross, Gabrielle Union and Dwayne Wade, and Kyra Sedgwick to Kevin Bacon.
Christensen and Turner went on to talk about Confirmation, the HBO movie about Anita Hill’s accusation of sexual harassment by Judge Clarence Thomas just as he was being nominated to the United States Supreme Court. The allegations from his former colleague caused his nomination to be called into question. Erika Christensen plays Shirley Weigland, friend to Anita Hill, played by Scandal‘s Kerry Washington. Erika had nothing but praise for Washington, who is also a producer on the film.
“She’s brilliant,” Christensen said. “Obviously, she cared so much about this movie. She produced it and she knows Anita and really wanted to do her justice, which is a huge amount of respect and responsibility to behold … It’s so awesome.”
Something else that also seems to be pretty awesome is the timing of the release of this film. We are currently in the middle of a very-politicized election year, with President Obama attempting to get a Supreme Court nominee confirmed to serve as a replacement for the late Antonin Scalia, who died in February. The timing certainly wasn’t lost on the cast, as Christensen brings it up while discussing the film.
“We’ve been saying over the past month or whatever it’s been, like, could we have planned this? How did this happen?,” Erika told Nischelle.
Confirmation features a pretty stellar cast, along with Kerry Washington and Erika Christensen, including Wendell Pierce as Clarence Thomas, Jennifer Hudson, Jeffrey Wright, Eric Stonestreet and Greg Kinnear.
Confirmation debuts on Saturday, April 16 on HBO at 8:00 p.m. PST.
