Gwen Stefani’s Pregnancy Plans Revealed: Will She Have Blake Shelton’s Baby?

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton could soon welcome a child together — at least according to a recent report.

Months into the Voice couple’s highly publicized romance, a source claims Gwen Stefani and her boyfriend are taking the necessary steps to give her three sons, Kingston, 9, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2, a baby step-sister.

“[Gwen Stefani] is freezing her eggs because she wants to have a baby with Blake,” a source told In Touch Weekly of the 46-year-old.

Gwen Stefani and Shelton began dating at the end of last year and confirmed their romance on November 4, 2015, during an appearance at a Country Music Awards after-show in Nashville, Tennessee, which just so happened to mark Shelton’s first post-divorce appearance during an award show also attended by his ex-wife, Miranda Lambert. Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani was also newly single, having parted ways with husband Gavin Rossdale just months prior.

At the time of their romance reveal, Gwen Stefani and Shelton were hard at work on the ninth season of The Voice and quickly began showcasing their flirtation on the show. However, even though the season came to an end in December of last year, their romance continued, and Gwen Stefani and Shelton have become more and more open with their love for one another in the months since.

As for the likelihood of Gwen Stefani welcoming her fourth child, the would-be-first-child of Shelton, experts claim it may be hard for her to conceive naturally at her age, but that’s reportedly not coming in between her and her dreams of a baby girl.

“She’d love to have a girl — plus [Gwen Stefani] knows her boys would love to have another sibling — and wants to give Blake this opportunity to have a child that biologically his. But she doesn’t want her age to prevent this from happening,” the source said. “Even though Blake is insisting he doesn’t need biological children, Gwen isn’t taking any chances.”

According to a second report, Gwen Stefani and Shelton aren’t exactly planning for a child right now, but they wouldn’t exactly be against the idea if it were to happen.

“They would be surprised if she got pregnant since they are not actively trying for a baby, but they wouldn’t be against it. It wouldn’t be considered an accident or a mistake if it were to happen,” a source told Hollywood Life on March 30.

The source went on to explain that while Gwen Stefani and Shelton would be open to the idea, she’d prefer to stay focused on her career at this point in time.

“[Gwen Stefani] wants to take on a few more career goals and not get into having a child right now, but that is nothing against Blake in any way, shape or form. They are enjoying being together without a baby,” the source explained.

In addition to juggling her role as a mentor on The Voice Season 10 with her parenting duties to her boys, Gwen Stefani is also hard at work promoting her new album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like. On the recently released album, Gwen Stefani opened up about her split from Gavin Rossdale, as well as her new love with Shelton.
