Beyoncé’s Clothing Line: Ivy Park, New Workout ‘Athleisure’ Exercise Streetwear [Video]
Beyoncé has gotten in on the athleisure trend, with Beyoncé’s new Ivy Park collection. As seen in the following video, Beyoncé collaborated with Sir Philip Green to come up with Ivy Park, a collection of workout gear that the singer explains came from experiences from her childhood. In the video, Beyoncé is seen in a variety of exercise modes — from running to swimming (or, at least looking beautiful as Beyonce emerges from a pool) — and explaining the Ivy Park name.

Beyoncé described waking up early in the morning when her dad would tell her it was time to go running. Though she might not have always felt like running, Beyoncé appreciated all the things that going running taught her, like discipline — and a time to focus on her dreams.
“It taught me discipline and I would think about my dreams. I would think about the sacrifices my parents made for me.”
Beyoncé got the chance to focus on the beauty around her, although the video sounds like beauty turns into “booty.” Speaking of which, Beyoncé features a lovely shot of her hind region in the video as she walks in slow motion in the Ivy Park gear. Beyoncé said that the beauty around her represented the sunshine through the trees. It all reminded Beyoncé to keep breathing.
“There are things I’m still afraid of.”
A flash of Parkwood Park is shown — which could possibly be the Parkwood Park near the University of Houston. It was a park that meant a lot to Beyoncé, so she spoke about going back to the park often. No doubt that park will be pretty crowded, now that Beyoncé admitted she went back to that park prior to giving birth to Blue Ivy.
“Before I hit the stage I’d go back to that park.
“The park became a state of mind.
“The park is what made me who I am.
“Where’s your park?”
Beyoncé spoke of the park in a metaphorical way, as if the park was a place of comfort for the singer. As such, Beyoncé’s new Ivy Park workout gear clothing line obviously represents those thoughts of comfort once more. Beyoncé partnered with the owner of Topshop, Sir Green, in order to create Ivy Park, Beyoncé’s first clothing/workout gear collection.

In the YouTube video, Beyoncé can be seen wearing Ivy Park, along with others featured in the video.
As noted by WWD, who first reported on Beyoncé’s Ivy Park collection back in October, 2014, Beyonce’s Ivy Park should sell through a dozen retail stores all over the world, so it should be pretty easy to buy Beyoncé’s Ivy Park clothing once it’s released — if it doesn’t sell out fast.
“As reported, Beyoncé Knowles and the London-based Green have formed a 50-50 joint venture company, Parkwood Topshop Athletic Ltd., to produce the athletic streetwear brand. The collection will sell via 12 retail partners in more than 50 countries, including Topshop, topshop.com, Nordstrom, Zalando, Net-a-porter.com, Selfridges and Hudson’s Bay Co. It lands in stores on April 14. The singer said Thursday she was keen to have a ‘partnership and a stand-alone brand.’ She said she aimed to create an athletic brand that would ‘support and inspire women,’ and make them feel strong on a variety of levels.”
As seen in the top photo above, Beyoncé wears fashionable shades as she watches the first half of an NBA basketball game. Beyoncé and Jay-Z are often seen courtside at basketball games, and the above pictured photo was from a game between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Brooklyn Nets, Monday, February 29, 2016, in Los Angeles.
According to the Daily Mail, Beyoncé’s Ivy Park will be available April 14.
