Sadie Robertson Splits From Blake Coward: ‘Duck Dynasty’ Darling Single Again After Breakup From Longtime Beau

There is some rather surprising news emerging for fans of Duck Dynasty star Sadie Robertson. Though many fans were on engagement watch, thinking that Sadie might be getting close to taking that next big step with longtime boyfriend Blake Coward, it seems that the couple has headed down a different path. Rather, Coward and Robertson have split, according to new reports.

Us Weekly shares the news regarding Sadie Robertson’s breakup with Blake Coward. The site indicates that the Duck Dynasty star’s rep has confirmed the split between Sadie and Blake. The two had dated for more than two years, and despite the fact that it was always a long-distance relationship, many fans thought this one would go the distance.

So far, neither Sadie or Blake have said anything on their social media accounts regarding the split. Robertson’s rep indicates that the two broke up a few weeks ago, and many Duck Dynasty fans are wondering just what happened. The last that Sadie referenced Blake on Twitter, retweeting a post of his about her “Soulbit Challenge,” she called him babe and added some sweet emojis. If the split happened a few weeks ago, though, it must have come very soon after that tweet.

Sadie has talked quite a bit in the past about how she made her relationship with Blake work, even though they were often many hours apart. Coward attends school in Alabama, while Robertson lives in Louisiana and is often in California or touring around the country working on her various projects. Blake was often in the audience cheering his girl on when she was on Dancing With the Stars a while back, and these two had always looked like a solid pair.

Just a few weeks ago, Sadie and Blake were in Austin together and she posted a sweet photo of them together on Instagram. She referenced him as her love and fans went gaga over the picture, giving it more than 143,000 “likes.” Where did things go wrong to such an extent right after that post to lead to a split? Was their decision to end their relationship mostly due to the distance issue, or something else? At this point, neither one is saying anything and the Duck Dynasty star’s rep did not go into specifics.

Sadie and Blake had seemed very solid throughout their relationship, and many Duck Dynasty fans felt sure that they would be the next in the family to become engaged. As show fans know, Sadie’s brother, John Luke, married Mary Kate McEacharn last August, and Entertainment Tonight detailed that her sister, Rebecca, got engaged to John Reed Loflin in January. In addition, Sadie’s cousin, Reed Robertson, got engaged to Brighton Thompson last December, so weddings have definitely been on the Duck Dynasty family’s minds in recent months.

Is it possible that Sadie and Blake could reunite at some point? Duck Dynasty fans do not know what comes next in terms of romance for this Robertson family member, but many are saddened to hear of her split from Coward. On the professional front, however, Sadie is keeping plenty busy. She has been excitedly hyping the upcoming premiere of the movie God’s Not Dead 2, which hits theaters this weekend.

This new film stars many familiar faces in addition to that of Robertson. Melissa Joan Hart, Jesse Metcalfe, Ray Wise, Ernie Hudson, Jon Lindstrom, Robin Givens, and a host of others are all part of the cast of this film that revolves around a teacher heading to court after answering a student’s question about Jesus in her class.

This is not Robertson’s first film role, as she also had a role in the recent film based on Columbine shooting victim, Rachel Scott, called I Am Not Ashamed. Much like God’s Not Dead 2, the film based on Scott’s story had a religious focus, which Duck Dynasty fans know is something quite important to Sadie. From the looks of things, this Robertson family member is making quite the mark in the entertainment genre and likely has many more projects on the way.
