JoJo Fletcher Reportedly Sneaking Around With Her Ex While Searching For Love On ‘The Bachelorette’

Break-ups can be nice and clean. Or they can cause an ex to air all your dirty laundry out in front of anyone who’s listening. If you’re JoJo Fletcher, the current star of the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, then it’s the latter. And everyone is listening.

In an interview with In Touch Weekly, JoJo’s ex-boyfriend, Chad Rookstool, who she dated for over two years, said that after her stint trying to win Ben Higgins’s heart on The Bachelor, she didn’t waste anytime in getting back together with him.

“As soon as she got home, we started hanging out every day and being intimate again,” Chad stated, the same Chad that left roses and a love note on JoJo’s doorstep during hometown dates on The Bachelor in an attempt to win her back.

Chad also dropped a bombshell. “We were sneaking around the whole time The Bachelor was airing because she wasn’t allowed to be seen with me. When she got home, she kept telling me she loved me and that we should have stayed together and fought through our issues,” Chad explains. “She said we would’ve been married by now, and I agreed with her.”

According to Ok! Magazine, Chad believes that JoJo Fletcher was never really in love with Bachelor Ben Higgins and simply got swept up by the emotions of the show.

“JoJo told me, ‘Chad, come on, you know it was TV,’ ” he stated in the interview, adding, “I think she just got sucked up in the show rather than actually trying to have legit feelings.”

Though Chad says that he and JoJo got back together immediately following The Bachelor, the romance didn’t last long because he was dumped after JoJo received the offer to be the next Bachelorette.

“JoJo said, ‘I don’t know if I’m the next Bachelorette, but let’s just have a conversation as if I am,’ ” Chad says. “She tried to tell me she wasn’t saying goodbye forever — but I told her that I’m not going to sit around and wait for her [this time], and that was it.”

Rookstool also said that the reason JoJo Fletcher joined the show wasn’t to find love but to advance her career opportunities. He also revealed that she got the spot on The Bachelor because of her big brother’s connections.

JoJo’s brother, Ben Patton, appeared on Eva Longoria’s show, Ready for Love, and became friends with one of the producers. “JoJo thought the show would help branch out her career,” Chad stated. “She said it was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

As for JoJo, who is busy filming the next season of TheBachelorette, she appears to be over Ben Higgins and has a different story than her ex, Chad Rookstool.

“Right after my relationship ended with Ben, I had some time at home to think about everything,” JoJo said in an interview with E! News. “I feel like I got to a place where I moved on and I was happy, and then it came to me and I felt like I was more ready than ever. The timing felt right and I was really excited.”

The newest Bachelorette also touched on being told “I love you” by Higgins. “I never thought there was anything wrong with Ben saying ‘I love you’ to both of us, it just didn’t work out for me,” she says. “I’m good friends with Lauren and I think Ben’s amazing, but he just wasn’t the right one for me. I know that I’m more than ready to find someone now.”

Being told “I love you” by the Bachelor only to go home brokenhearted, being unexpectedly named the next Bachelorette, and now a secret romance with an ex-boyfriend? It appears the producers of The Bachelor knew what they were doing when they named JoJo as the next Bachelorette.
