Kendra Wilkinson’s Marriage Shocker: Why She’s Not The Marrying Kind
Kendra Wilkinson and Hank Baskett sure had their share of struggles in their marriage. But now, the Kendra on Top star is ready to let loose and have some fun.
In a sneak peek for Season 5 of Kendra on Top, the blonde bombshell lets out a shocker. She tells an unidentified guy, “I’m not the type that should be married … I’m like a wild animal that can’t be tamed.”
During an interview with Eyewitness News anchor Erin Briscoe, Wilkinson advised her not to get married because it’s too stressful. She then gives her trademark laugh and says that she’s much happier in her life and her marriage now. Wilkinson also explains that she’s facing new challenges as she tries to balance marriage, motherhood, and her career. Watch the full interview below.
Does that mean the 30-year-old is still having trouble in her marriage with husband, Hank Baskett? The former Playboy playmate revealed something else that’s shocking. Kendra said that she was completely honest with her two young children about their marriage problems.
The candid reality star made an appearance on Kocktails on Khloe on Wednesday, March 30. Kardashian asked Wilkinson how she started the conversation with Little Hank, 6, and Alijah, 22 months.
“We’re trying to obviously beat all this to the punch and just teach our kids who we are and show them love and show them happy parents and be as open as we can.
“You know, I’m a free spirit: I walk around naked – they’re going to eventually run across [me]. So I’m going to teach free spirit stuff to my kids. I want to make sure they know that like, you know, ‘To each their own.’ If they’re not harming someone, if you’re not doing any harm to yourself, be the person that you want to be, do what you want to do and be true to yourself.”
Wilkson also revealed that she also managed to “stick it out” when it comes to her marriage to Baskett. It’s been nearly two years since the tabloids reported that he was spotted having a drug-fueled affair with a transgender model while Wilkinson was eight months pregnant with their daughter.
When Kendra is not talking about her marriage problems, she’s often opening up about her Playboy past or her non-stop drama with her mom. However, she did kind of freeze up when she was asked about her mom. In another preview for Kendra On Top, the star is having a girls’ night out with her friends, but things get a bit awkward when one of Kendra’s friends asks her about the book that her mom is threatening to write about her.
The starlet’s face says it all. Then the scene cuts to a clip of Wilkinson talking to the camera after the incident. “Right when I’m at my happiest point, right when I’m about to have fun, my mom always just creeps right back into my life somehow,” she tells the camera.
In the new season of her show, it seems like she’s juggling a lot of issues at once, including her former life at the Playboy Mansion. Wilkinson wasn’t happy when her former Girls Next Door Co-Star Holly Madison release a scathing memoir in 2015. The book, Down the Rabbit Hole, described what Madison’s life was really like during her time as Hugh Hefner’s main squeeze.
Kendra hears the news about a possible Girls Next Door reunion. Her reaction? All she does is shake her head in disgust. Kendra is then heard saying, “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.”
The new season of Kendra On Top debuts April 1 at 9 p.m. on WEtv.
