Are Courtney Love and her daughter wearing matching outfits and patching things up for no particular reason? On the other hand, could it be possible that Courtney Love never liked Frances Bean's husband and they are hanging out together to discuss ways of protecting Frances' $450 million inheritance in the divorce?
Naturally, fans were surprised to see them together because the personal relationship between Courtney Love and her daughter with Kurt Cobain, Frances Bean Cobain, has been strained for many years. In fact, WAAF reports that she did not invite Courtney Love to her wedding.
Now, less than two years later, Frances Bean is divorcing her husband, and suddenly her mother Courtney Love is back in her life.
Around March 21, Courtney Love and her daughter were in London for an event called Women in Creativity through the Liberatum organization, where Courtney made a speech to promote her upcoming biography and new album.
Courtney Love and Frances Bean were wearing black-and-white coordinated outfits at the event, according to U.S. Magazine, but could it be that they were getting together to discuss how to protect Frances Bean's nearly-half-billion dollar estate?
Radar Online implies that Courtney Love and her daughter were hanging out in London on the first day of spring "before the 20-year anniversary of Kurt Cobain's death." However, the hangout between Courtney Love and Frances Bean occurred a couple of weeks before Kurt Cobain died on April 4, 1994 (almost 22 years ago).
Instead, if Courtney Love and Frances Bean were hanging out to discuss Kurt, it was more likely that they were talking about the upcoming 25-year anniversary of Nirvana's Nevermind album -- especially since that album created most of Frances Bean's fortune.
Interestingly, in an interview with The Daily Beast, producer Butch Vig said "If Nirvana came out now with Nevermind, it would not have even remotely the same impact."
Regardless of the fact that her father's album might not have generated as much money in today's music industry, it accumulated $450 million in an estate Frances Bean inherited. Now that Courtney Love's daughter is getting a divorce from ex, Isaiah Silva, there are allegations that she wants to keep the money to herself.
Metro reports on March 24, "Frances is now making sure that her estranged husband can't get his hands on her inheritance." Frances Bean is also claiming that she will pay some alimony, but she wants her third (estimated at $450 million or $1.35 billion total) of her father's inheritance to be off-limits in the divorce.
Alternatively, perhaps Courtney Love has nothing to do with the divorce, but instead simply likes Frances Bean being single again. This is especially true since it means Courtney might not be a grandma any time soon.
S.F. Weekly writes on March 9 that Courtney Love was being interviewed for her participation in Kansas City Choir Boy, and it was stated that Courtney Love "refused to entertain the notion that she might become a grandmother sooner or later, repeating the word 'no' at least half a dozen times."
In other personal life news, Courtney Love is also still going strong with her relatively-new boyfriend, Nicholas Jarecki, according to Page Six. Another reason that Courtney Love might be interested in keeping Nicholas Jarecki around is because Frances Bean allegedly likes Courtney Love's boyfriend.
Outside of family, work, and love, Courtney Love spends a lot of time philosophizing with the press. For example, in an interview with Dazed around March 22, Courtney Love says "I feel like in feminism it's like, 'well, she's not really feminist enough' and there can be this kind of less-than thing in feminism."
Other Courtney Love personal wisdom quotes from the Dazed interview include the following.
"For me, a good publicist is someone who helps me to not get myself into trouble. I have a lot of friends in the media who I trust really intensely but it's really important to not hurt people and I've mellowed into that, in my old age."In the near future, Courtney Love will be releasing a new album and a new biography called Girl With The Most Cake.
