WWE Rumors: Major Star Pulled From ‘WrestleMania’ Axxess And Legend Named As Replacement
A couple of days ago, Daniel Bryan was randomly and suddenly pulled from all appearances at WWE events. Any house show with the title of “Daniel Bryan Night” was changed to include only the matches on the card. Now, Bryan has been pulled from WrestleMania 32 Axxess as well and will not be appearing in Dallas for the event at all. He has been replaced, though, and WWE decided to grab a legend to take his place.
The first “Daniel Bryan Night” was set for this Friday night in New York City, and as of the beginning of the week, it was still in place. The official website for Madison Square Garden has said that Bryan is no longer appearing due to “scheduling conflicts,” and he’s been removed from all advertisements for the show.
411 Mania has now revealed that Bryan has been pulled from WrestleMania Axxess and won’t be appearing at the event at all. He was scheduled to be a part of the VIP Axxess signing on April 3, but now it isn’t happening at all.
Oddly enough, WWE.com is still showing an advertisement that Bryan will be at Axxess, signing autographs and posing for pictures with fans on Sunday, April 3. When clicking through to order tickets, it just says “superstars and divas” and doesn’t list specific names.
When PW Insider reached out to WWE to find out why Daniel Bryan had been removed from all the live events, they had a response, but it was very simple.
“Daniel Bryan requested time off and it was granted.”
Not only was Bryan pulled from the New York City show on Friday, but two other scheduled appearances as well in Washington, D.C., and New Jersey. He was also to take part in the post-WrestleMania 32 tour of the United Kingdom, but not anymore.
Taking him out of the house show line-ups is one thing, as the matches fill in the gaps. With Bryan being removed from Axxess, though, WWE had to find a replacement for him since it was a personal meet-and-greet, and they did find one in a legend.
Bryan’s replacement at Axxess is going to be none other than Shawn Michaels.
Yes, the “Heartbreak Kid” is going to be available for autographs and pictures and to meet the fans. It was already known that he would be in Dallas for WrestleMania weekend, but no one knew what he would be doing there.
Some rumors still have him appearing at the event itself and maybe just doing a promo or something. Others have thought that he would end up as the special guest referee for the main event WWE Title match between Triple H and Roman Reigns, but that is not confirmed yet.
With Bryan pulling out of even just making appearances for WWE, it may add some fuel to the fire that his wife, Brie Bella, is retiring soon. She announced a few months ago that the time was coming soon, and an official word may happen as early as this summer.
Right now, there are no live event dates set for Daniel Bryan to appear with WWE. He is still under contract, but there is no way of knowing when he’ll be seen again.
WrestleMania 32 is going to be a huge event, but injuries have caused a number of problems and left WWE scrambling to fill in the holes. Daniel Bryan’s retirement in February also made things a bit difficult, but he was still going to be there for Axxess. Now, fans really have no idea when they may see him again.
