Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Appear Together In Rain-Drenched Vacation Videos: Gwen Isn’t Dying Anymore
Gwen Stefani is no longer an O.C. girl—now she’s all about OK. Stefani and her family recently left their big city life in California behind to spend spring break at Blake Shelton’s lakeside mansion in Oklahoma, and Gwen is documenting their pre-Easter vacation on Snapchat. The “Make Me Like You” singer has been careful not to share any photos or videos of Blake, but she finally slipped up and shared a few Snapchat videos of her boyfriend. One of them shows Blake taking shelter from an Oklahoma rainstorm, and another shows him enjoying a drink with his girlfriend.
According to E! News, Gwen Stefani and her sons—2-year-old Apollo, 7-year-old Zuma, and 9-year-old Kingston—are spending the week with Blake Shelton at his sprawling property in Oklahoma. They’ve been entertaining themselves by exploring the woods around Blake’s home, shooting off fireworks, and going fishing. Unfortunately, it seems as though a rainstorm cut their lakeside adventure short. In the video below, you can see Blake Shelton in the background taking shelter from the rain. One of Gwen’s nannies is also with the couple, and she’s holding Apollo.

Before the rain started pouring down, Gwen and Blake went on a fishing trip with a group of people that appeared to include Gwen’s brother Todd, his wife Jennifer, and their daughter Stella. Gwen shared a Snapchat video taken during their fishing trip that shows little Apollo bragging about his big catch while Gwen tells her fans to admire the big blue sky behind her.

While they were waiting out the storm and trying to dry off, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton, and the other adult spring breakers enjoyed a few glasses of wine. The Snapchat video below shows the group getting a little crazy while they hold up their glasses. You can catch a quick glimpse of Blake while Gwen spins her camera phone around the rowdy bunch of country folk.

After the storm passed, Blake Shelton treated his guests to some pizza, and he entertained them by setting off fireworks beside a bonfire. It was an exciting ending to a fun-filled day, and it looks like Blake is turning Gwen Stefani into quite the country girl.

There’s a lake visible in some of Gwen Stefani’s Snapchats, so it appears as though she and her crew are staying with Blake at his new lakeside mansion, not the Tishomingo ranch that he and ex-wife Miranda Lambert called home during their four-year marriage. Entertainment Tonight reports that the mansion overlooks Lake Texoma, and it’s about an hour away from Blake’s hometown of Ada, Oklahoma.
Gwen reportedly toured Blake’s new house for the first time in October of last year while it was still under construction. According to a source close to the couple, Blake decided that he and Gwen should stay there instead of his marital home near Tishomingo out of respect for Miranda Lambert.
Gwen and Blake have definitely put their divorces in the rear view mirror, but it’s been a difficult journey for Gwen Stefani. Before she found bliss in Blake Shelton’s kiss, she had to pull herself up from the depths of despair. Her marriage of 13 years fell apart last year, and there were reports that she decided to divorce Gavin Rossdale because he cheated on her with one of their children’s nannies. The affair reportedly lasted three years before another nanny informed Gwen about it.
During a recent interview with GQ, Gwen Stefani said that she felt like she was “dying” when she tried to work on new music in the wake of her split from Gavin Rossdale. However, her marriage misery didn’t end up being the focus of her new album—she and Blake Shelton started dating, and things started to look a bit brighter.
“I did not think anything. I wasn’t thinking. I was feeling and I was dying. And then I was just like, You can’t go down like this! You have to turn this into music. You have to try, at least. I was so embarrassed by just everything. I just didn’t want to be that person that just went down after all of that.”
As GQ points out, Blake Shelton helped change the entire mood of This Is What the Truth Feels Like. Instead of becoming a breakup album a la Tragic Kingdom, Gwen Stefani’s new record blossomed into a beautiful collection of tunes about falling in love.
