Usher Ex-Wife: Sympathy For Death Of Stepson Is Fake
Usher’s ex-wife said the sympathy the singer is showing for the death of his 11-year-old stepson is nothing but an act.
Tameka Foster slammed the R&B star for only pretending to care about her son Kile Glover’s death, TMZ reported. Glover died July 21 after spending two weeks on life support after he was struck in the head by a jet ski.
“[Usher] visited Kile in the hospital only once,” Usher’s ex-wife claimed in recently filed court documents, TMZ reported.
Usher‘s ex-wife Foster claimed that the sympathy he may have shown in public was only for show. She reportedly asked him to tweet a message to Twitter followers asking them to pray for Glover, but he refused and ended up tweeting a picture of his breakfast instead with the caption “Breakfast of Champions,” The New York Daily News reported.
Foster’s claims conflict a bit with early reports about Usher’s actions, which included chartering a plane so his ex-wife could fly to the hospital and be by Kile’s side.
The accident happened in the midst of a bitter custody battle between Usher and his ex-wife. As TMZ reported, Foster reportedly now wants to settle so she can “move forward with her life.” Usher’s lack sympathy may be showing in his actions regarding the case–he has asked the court to push back the hearing so there is no “unnecessary stress and strain” on the family, but behind the scenes many believe he just afraid that the judge will unfairly favor a mother in mourning.
Usher’s ex-wife is calling out the sympathy ploy as well. She has demanded that the court order Usher to show up at the Aug. 13 hearing and said his request is nothing but “a transparent sham.”
