WWE Rumors: Updated Card For ‘WrestleMania 32’ And Rumored Matches — Huge Ladder Match Added, New Tag Match
With less than two weeks until WrestleMania 32, WWE is still building the full card for the event, and it is looking good. Last night on Monday Night Raw, two more big matches were added and confirmed while one more was still being teased. A multi-Divas tag match was added, and a ladder match for the Intercontinental Title was also confirmed. There are seven participants with some shocking names included.
The biggest announcement from last night’s Raw is that Kevin Owens will be putting his Intercontinental Title on the line in a multi-man ladder match. Not only will he have to face off against two or three opponents, but six others.
It’s been rumored for a few weeks that Dolph Ziggler, Sami Zayn, and The Miz would be a part of the match. As recapped by WWE.com, last night on Raw, Owens tried to pull a fast one by holding a number one contender’s triple threat match between Stardust, Zack Ryder, and Sin Cara.
This match is following up on the big ladder match for the Intercontinental Title that was on the WrestleMania 31 card last year and won by Daniel Bryan.
One name that is rather interesting to see in the match is Zack Ryder. He hasn’t really been involved in any main storylines on Raw or SmackDown and is usually seen as a jobber, of sorts. PW Insider is reporting he was added to the match due to the injury that happened to Neville last week.
Neville will be out for at least a few months with an ankle injury, and he won’t be cleared in time for WrestleMania 32. With that being said, Zack Ryder was added to the ladder match.
Even though it has not been officially added to the WrestleMania 32 page on WWE.com, an eight-Divas tag team match has also been confirmed for the card.
As reported by WrestleZone, the match was added and made official on the Monday Night Raw pre-show, and it will be Lana’s wrestling debut. The match will have Lana team with Tamina, Naomi, and a fourth diva to take on the team of Paige, Natalya, Brie Bella, and Alicia Fox.
The fourth team member for Lana and company was to be revealed on Raw last night, but it never happened.
Another match is still being teased, and it is AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho IV. Both interfered in each other’s match last night, and Styles issued the challenge to Jericho for WrestleMania 32, but as of yet, Y2J has not accepted it.
Actually, Jericho issued a response to Styles after Raw, and it was not a happy one. He also refused the challenge.
It seems as if Chris Jericho would rather go to the event and sit in the stands and watch everything rather than face AJ Styles again. Still, it appears as if this will be a match added to the card before it begins on April 3.
During Monday Night Raw, two more names were added to 3rd Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. All four members of the Social Outcasts were already in the match, and now Big Show and Kane have thrown their names in as well. It is expected that 20 superstars will be in the match.
Last week on SmackDown, two more title matches were added, and that currently has the official card at nine (10 with the divas tag) matches.
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship: Triple H (c) vs. Roman Reigns
- Divas Championship: Charlotte (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks
- No Holds Barred Street Fight: Dean Ambrose vs. Brock Lesnar
- Hell in a Cell: Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker
- 3rd Annual Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
- The Dudley Boyz vs. The Usos
- WWE Tag Team Championship: The New Day (c) vs. League of Nations
- United States Championship: Kalisto (c) vs. Ryback
- Intercontinental Title Ladder Match: Kevin Owens (c) vs. Zack Ryder vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sami Zayn vs. Stardust vs. The Miz vs. Sin Cara
- Multi-Divas Tag Team Match
The way things have been looking, the Golden Truth (Goldust and R-Truth) may end up being added to the match between the Dudley Boyz and The Usos as well.
For a four-hour event, WrestleMania 32 is really looking like a stacked card, and there will be appearances by The Rock, Ric Flair, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, and more. John Cena may even show up, but only time will tell. Even though it’s less than two weeks away, another match or two may still be added.
